In 2009 SAU-Vic needs to bring on a new position due to the ever evolving structure of the Committee.

The Committee is looking to continue the clubs expansion in 2009 with more events and opportunities for members.

This can only be made possible by sponsorship so we really need someone to come on board to aid us.

Position is: Sponsorship Manager.

Background & requirements

Ideally we are after a specific kind of person, someone with client/sponsor management &/or account management background would really aid us in what we want to achieve in 2009. Whilst we could take someone on and show them the ropes, we would prefer not to do this for this role as its a pivotal role for the clubs existence.

I must stress the role is not massively time intensive. We only really require a few things from you.

- Good communication skills

- Past/current experience with account management/sponsors/client management etc etc.

- Some free time during business hours to make calls (not a massive time requirement, refer to next point)

- Call sponsors once every 3 months to touch base (currently we have 4-5 sponsors, so not a massive task and could be done in approx 1-2hrs each quarter)

- Attend Committee meeting once a month

- Signup some new sponsors over the next 12 months

Extra info

We have ideas already about who to approach for potential new sponsors to co-incide with the new events we are looking at.

2009 Motorsport sponsors will be signed up by Chris, so rest assured we are not lumping any task onto whomever takes on the role. It will be up and running already to allow easy handover in that respect

And... That’s basically it. If there are any questions please post up or PM me and ill be happy go over it.

This is your club, so if you have a bit of spare time to help, im sure all members would appreciate it!

Only valid for current SAU-Vic members of course

Thanks

Ash

SAU-Vic President

Hmmm, I have done a similar role with help from others back in Uni, but I wasn't the one doing most of the convincing. It was interesting though...

So I'm not volunteering for this, just saying it *might* be of interest :(

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
