Rb25 Short Motor

I bought the block complete if I wanted to put it on, what would I have to do to the block, cleaning? Looks a bit rusty... The only reason for this is as I converted my de to det I want some peace of mind + getting married so I don't really want to rebuild until next year also normally how long would it take to install? Thinking whether to use my mechanic or my performance shop, apart from being cheaper the saving would have to be put toward a retune as it's tuned for the de block
