You wont lose your license. I got done doing 135kms on the freeway (I had to get home and go to bed cos it was late and I had work the next day... Never again!!)

It was 5 points and $700. A radar detector is a good idea, but so is slowing down. I''ve lost 11 points in 12 months, trust me, speeding isnt worth it!!

I've paid more on speeding fines then a radar detector would cost :D

not sure in other states but if you get busted with a rade detector be prepared to be raped up the ass

* You own a radar detector for one of two reasons ; a) you want to detect people trying to control your mind with a radar b) you want to break the law and not get caught.

I used mine as a tool so I know who's doing what to my car and when and I used the false alerts as a reminder to check my speed.

and also detect government mind-f*k devices :D

i thought it was 82.34867% bubba get ure stats right gosh!!! =P

My bad :)

Mine also alerts me to emergency vehicles with their lights/sirens on.

ahaha best rador deteector is to not speed:)

To own a radar detector means your not relying on your own actions and judgments of speed

I like getting overtaken then undercut by excels and lancers, that's just how I roll :D

P.S. Peeps have many different ways of spelling radar :)

Not to mention roadwork crews and other traffic warnings. I never knew all of those signals were being transmitted until I got my detector.

Because without it you would have to rely on lights and sirens, which aren't going to really attact your attention at all.

They obviously don't use flashing lights or beeps to alert the user to Ambo's etc. these ones. Do they punch you in the face instead? If so I am all for this feature being fitted as standard to all radar detectors :)

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
    • Also wanted to say, my new spark plugs are blackened looks like it's very rich. I have splitfire coilpacks but stock coilpack loom and ignitor. I tried directly grounding the ignitor ground to body as well.
