Hey Guys,

Just curious to know what mods everyone has done on the 260RS, I've got a 97 model myself and have done a few things and more specifically I'm interested to know from anyone who has a HKS high power or silent exhaust.

I'm curious to know if anyone has one and which model they used as the one for a stagea is for a single turbo RB25 setup, I was thinking of using one for an R33 GTR which should fit though wasn't sure if any of the pipes would get in the way and custom work was required. So far I've been able to get everything installed ok if it was for a R33 gtr.

So far the mods on mine inlcude:

apexi front pipe

hks dump pipes

apexi power fc with hand controller

pair of HKS-GT-SS turbos.

I've had it dyno'd and am getting 250kw atw, with a boost controller and new exhaust to come in the next month and another tune running 1 bar I'm hoping to get 260-70.

Does anyone know someone who's done this? At the very least does anyone have some names of places that do alot of Skyline work, Surely other people have done this before.

HKS exhaust on a 260RS should be easy right? Thinking I might ditch this idea for now and stick with my custom 3 inch.

I'd give my left nut for a set of GT-SSs on my 260RS

I have Vipec ECU, Apexi front pipes and some jap 3.5" cat back. If you want, I'll try and find out which brand it is. It came with the car. It's got a nice sound, particularly up in the revs, but is not overpowering. Actually, I think if it was me, I'd just get a nice custom job. It's doesn't look like a very difficult job. Pretty straight from the cat to the back.

I've only got 197kwatw running 13psi on the stock turbos, but it goes alright

got trust T5-17z turbos, greddy camshafts, trust front and dumps, trust PEII catback exhaust, power fc d-jetro, HPI manifolds, splitfire coilpacks, OS Giken twin plate, K&N pods, profec B spec II boost controller and a whole lot of stereo lol

The turbo's made a big difference on the car, gone was all that boggy lag down low in 1st and second... even in the other gears it's alot more responsive on the pedal. Starts boosting at 3 grand, coming on full from 4-8000 revs. There's a guy selling them atm for a good price on ebay, import from New Zealand... just do a search, they're the only ones on there for $3500... I got them priced here in Aus and most places where saying 4K+.

Cheers for the advice everyone, If I could make the QLD cruise I'd be there as I'd love to see what everyone else is doing with these cars. Had mine for 3 weeks now and can't stop thinking about what to do next.

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
