get it done asap...since when it goes fully then u will be towing your car to the workshop. if its also leaking on the belts etc that isnt good kills the life of them. While driving to the workshop make sure the water level in the radiator is okay the last thing u need it to overheat the engine. But this depends on the leak.

oh thats not too bad..but yah if ya can get it done asap..Some people water pumps just go nearly in one go...and then time to tow. Also think about if u need anything else done maintenece wise..since while they are doing that other things can be done..less labour etc. Cheers Rob

My water pump started leaking after i flushed my radiator. Didn't leak much the first day - 1 hour after i got my car to work the next day it had lost almost all of the radiator fluid. Lucky the workshop i take my car to is 25meters up the road. Had the timing belt replaced at the same time. $500 all up with new coolant. I'd get it done ASAP kaotik

Buy a vl turbo water pump. It'll cost about $100 bucks. Don't let them get a genuine one, you'll be lookin at between $400-$500 bucks!!

I have done this very thing and regeret it,

The r33/r32 pump has one bolt hole in a different place to the vl pump and over time because the pump isn't bolted down hard in one place it will start to leak, in fact it took 2 months on my car if I had put the covers on over the cambelt I'd never know. as the leaking water never gets to the road (evaporation?).

I payed $76 for my vl pump.

I'm currently looking at getting my origanal pump repaired with new seals and bearings (about $40 in parts and labour).

(Excuse spelling errors. I'm not very well today)

Regards

Damqik

The stock pump has 9 fins, not 5 :P But they are smaller. Apparently 6 big fins flows better than 9 small ones. Actually, it may not, it might just have less of a load on the engine and thus less power loss.

yeah thats what i thought/heard, and cavitation only comes with really high revs with the standard gts-t pump, higher than 7000. The n1 would be suited only to the gtr, as it revs higher, unless you raised the revs on a gts-t. So basically, i dont think there is any point getting and N1 pump for a gtst, although it does sound good :P

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
