*american accent*

"this is my skyline GTRRRRRRR, we've tuned her up and shes pushing aorund 1200hp at the wheels, so whats it like driving my GTRR on the streets? well its not as drivable as say a 500hp GTR on the streets, but if you really push it up on the two step and smash through the gears you can have a lot of fun"

-in car camera-

*limiter shifts through to 3rd gear on a public road in america, and by 2nd gear you cant see shit its soo blurry*

im going to look for that dvd tonight

lol need to see this vid. Sounds mental.

Ohhh... So Terri's her name. I should start calling her that instead, lesser formality. Huahuahuahua!

Oi Tristan! When you bring your car down the coast on Saturday? We can organize something with a few others and do just lunch and buzz off after that since you've gotta work. Adam's on sch holiday and I'm sure he'll be keen.

Dave: Adam offered to help you with your car too if you need a hand.

yeh its insane

ill see if that scene is on youtube somewhere

the guy is nuts

ex vtec fanatic gone all out jdm

i gota take it down during the week - im awaiting their call so ill find out more osoooon

Yeah probably. Nobody cares if you cheat and win though. It's only when you cheat and lose that you know you fail at life.

True

pfft wasn't cheating you've got 300killerwasps. I needed to even the playing field lol :nyaanyaa:

LOL

Housewarming is a possibility will be moving in on Saturday and Sunday. Maybe come down on sunday arvo we can go get Fish n Chips at the Spit or find a quiet beach n have a BBQ? Let us know if anyone is keen.

Keen as mustard. Needs Tigs.

yeah I was thinking Peters. Terri is helping with the move so...yes she will be there. f**kin dogs...

I'm in, 100% :):P:P

back to sex gtr

Here are some quotes from Mike:

"We WILL be able to get the 60-foot times into the 1.5s or better when we get the car back to the track."

"The DSPORT RH9 GT-R will be the first true street, full-weight GT-R to run 8s on DOT radials." and he adds "even if it's through the 80mm motorcycle muffler!"

yeah well i'll keep everyone informed on what's going on. Should be able to get everything moved in on saturday. I don't have that much shit to move. Sofa, TV, Fridge and Bed are the only big things really. After that it's all fairly easy.

Who should I go to for internetz?

twin high mounts make me moist :nyaanyaa: I think I've got this dvd. Is it one of the ignition dvds? I threw all mine out on the weekend though :)

yeeh i think thats the one :P

how rad is the epic american accent he has hahaha

I'm with TPG ADSL2. Very cheap for 100GB (50/50 peak and offpeak download). Not true ADSL2 (speed wise) but its good enough for the price you're paying, 50bucks for that.

yeah its pretty funny. He f**kin hammers it on the street though, crazy motherf**ker. Best one is the old Max Power video were they have Smokey Nagata driving the Top Secret R33 GTR doing like 300km/h through a tunnel. Blasts through the tunnel then gets out n lights a smoke all chill..

Sounds good. Few people have recommended TPG so far. Looks like they're the go.

TPG or iiNet

TPG = cheap, big d/l limits. Reliability is somewhat in question, although it seems to always be improving. Could just be toowong exchange too. Customer service when something goes wrong is non-existant. Did i mention cheap?

iiNet = not as cheap but still decent value, much better reliability and customer service.

there is a drifting one like that in japan

they are all like chillin at a servo smoking and eating, then next scene they are sliding up this mountain like crazy mo fos then after they all go back to the servo and grab a bite to eat - rad dudes

    • our good friends at nismo make a diff for it, I have one (and a spare housing to put the centre in) on the way. https://www.nismo.co.jp/products/web_catalogue/lsd/mechanical_lsd_v37.html AMS also make a helical one, but I prefer mechanical for track use in 2wd (I do run a quaife in the front, but not rear of the R32)
    • What are we supposed to be seeing in the photo of the steering angle sensor? The outer housing doesn't turn, right? All the action is on the inside. The real test here is whether or not your car has had the steering put back together by a butcher. When the steering is centred (and we're not caring about the wheel too much here, we're talking about the front wheels, parallel, facing front) then you should have an absolutely even number of turns from centre to left lock and centre to right lock. If there is any difference at all then perhaps the thing has been put back together wrongly, either the steering wheel put on one spline (or more!) off, and the alignment bodged to straighteb the wheel, or the opposite where something silly was done underneath and the wheel put back on crooked to compensate. Nut there isn't actually much evidence that you have such a problem anyway. It is something you can easily measure and test for to find out though. My money is still on the HICAS CU not driving the PS solenoid with the proper PWM signal required to lighten the load at lower speed. If it were me, I would be putting either a multimeter or oscilloscope onto the solenoid terminals and taking it for a drive, looking for the voltage to change. The PWM signal is 0v, 12V, 0V, 12v with ...obviously...modulated pulse width. You should see that as an average voltage somewhere between 0V and 12V, and it should vary with speed. An handheld oscilloscope would be the better tool for this, because they are definitely good enough but there's no telling if any cheap shit multimeter that people have lying around are good enough. You can also directly interfere with the solenoid. If you wire up a little voltage divider with variable resistor on it, and hook the PS solenoid direct to 12V through that, you can manually adjust the voltage to the solenoid and you should be able to make it go ligheter and heavier. If you cannot, then the problem is either the solenoid itself dead, or your description of the steering being "tight" (which I have just been assuming you mean "heavy") could be that you have a mechanical problem in the steering and there is heaps of resistance to movement.
    • Little update  I have shimmed the solenoid on the rack today following Keep it Reets video on YouTube. However my steering is still tight. I have this showing on Nisscan, my steering angle sensor was the closest to 0 degrees (I could get it to 0 degrees by small little tweaks, but the angle was way off centre? I can't figure this out for the life of me. I get no faults through Nisscan.
    • The BES920 is like the Toyota Camrys of coffee machines. E61 group head is cool, however the time requirements for home use makes it less desirable. The Toyota Camry coffee machine runs twin boilers and also PID temp control, some say it produces coffees as good as an E61 group head machine.
