Theres not many things > baskins meet but dream theater concert is one of them :)

Anyway John said he's thinking of doing a NA drift car.

With what money?

R31 + RB30e + spool + cut springs = NA drift car

Colin: yea whats the plan?

My first suggestion was a 31 but he turned his nose up at it. I also suggest an LS1 S13 lol but I think thats out of the budget.

I loled at the GTR not being able to lose traction statement :D

GTR + sense of security + Mountain = GTR + Trees

lol pretty much.

oh in that case he probably couldnt break traction then

Yeah he's too used to the highways in Qatar :)

the go for the weekend is I'm moving in on Saturday hopefully be done between 4-5pm then we head down to the spit for some fish n chips and chill/talk shit. Depending on what happens one of my mates might be coming down n we're going to go to a few bars n have some drinks n have a mini celebration. You're all welcome to come out for some drinks with us as well but there isn't a lot of space to crash at my place lol.

lol i must say im used to driving fast in straight lines, but the adrenaline kicked in last nite, was a bit scared because brake pads are nearly done and car wasnt breaking well, so had to use gears to slow down alot, which is hard to do on mountain twisty roads uve never seen before, but yeh i didnt relly look at the speedo alot, but tops i wuld say i did was 145 , most of the time around 120 around the twisties,

i was praying to god during the entire thing, i was lke please its stock i wana mod it, please keep it in one peice, and it worked :D , dont really wana do it again though, would prefer going around a track or drag strip rather than mountain bullshit,

since i got the car the only track its been to is the sir fred schonell drive to sir fred schonell drive 1 KM two roundabout loop :)

hey mate,

yeh me and robert were jst havin a quick chat. everythin good, oh and yeh just did a mountain run now with a mate, i have f**kin goosebumps, i hate corners, but GTR handled pretty well, still kept TRACTION most of the time loool, look at the updated sig.

GTR + sense of security + Mountain = GTR + Trees

agreed,

or as we saw recently :)

GTR + sense of security + Mountain - GTR + Chaser + Alcohol = Chaser + Trees + Fire = no chaser

if you're going to get into it mate - id recommend you learn the braking points - how/when to brake effectively etc etc

the last thing you want to do is fry your brakes and go off the side

You know it :)

Well if timings bad for everyone we can do it Sunday either way is easy for me. Could head down to Burleigh heads or something n have a bbq there instead of the spit? I'm easy on the time so tell me what works for you guys lol

    • At least yours have parkour down pat. One of mine will still trip over his own shadow and fall over... He's a special type of cat... Ha ha ha
    • The question then becomes - was there any fluid coming from that hole before you did the rebuild ?    You may not have noticed, of course.   Depending on how you did the rebuild, the possibility has to be considered that somehow (cleaning ?)  fluid entered that hole and is now being 'forced'  out by small movements of the proportioning valve.   From the factory, there's actually a small rubber plug in that hole but with age and under-bonnet heat it's quite common for it to 'go missing'.  That rubber plug is designed to allow the venting process but also to prevent 'stuff' getting to the area (prevent corrosion, etc).   The plug is also not available as a spare part AFAIA. Personally I wouldn't race and buy a new master just yet but keep an eye on the area to see if the 'leak' continues.   If you're concerned about brake fluid damaging nearby paintwork, cable tie a piece of suitable absorbant material over the hole and remove/monitor occasionally.    Operation of the proportioning valve and the brake master itself won't be affected, but also keep an eye on brake fluid level, of course. In terms of a new master, the genuine part is getting expensive, unfortunately.  Amayama is showing AUD900+.   I was searching recently and there's an aftermarket part available from Japan made by 'Parts Assist': https://zenmarket.jp/en/yahoo.aspx?q=BNR32%2bBM50&p=1 Whether it's any good I have no idea, although in my experience Japanese aftermarket stuff is pretty good quality-wise.   The above site allows overseas buyers to purchase stuff more easily from Japan but there are fees and shipping costs, of course.   The original Japanese seller page is here: https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/p1197401228 Copper/Nickel is fine but I still prefer bundy tube and it's also cheaper.
