Inner West Crew Whoretown (toowong/st Lucia/kenmore/indooroopilly And Sometimes Sunnybank?)

Dan at ERD is literally the only person I'd let touch my car. He's like the Yoda of car's, if yoda and chewie had a lovechild. Rare thing about him too is his honesty. For example my spigot was rooted so I organised to get a new clutch in. I get a phone call from Dan an hr after dropping it off telling me that the clutch in there atm is basically new and presented me with the options to keep the one in there and replace what's needed or continue on with the replacement. I went ahead with the npc street anyways cos I'm wanting big power down the line, but say if I wasn't, I could have saved $400 odd dollars. Bastard makes one mean coffee too although I've been told to not let him know this hahaha.

don't you mean lulz and jail bait bitches?

lulz and jail bait bitches - i agree but also disagree.. because that leaves out all the fine talent over 16...

and dan as yodi tehehehe

new clutch, you dont need

save 400, i will

touch my bits, you must

drink my coffee, you shall

lulz!

ask any racer, any real racer..

its not how you race your car, its how you do it for the lulz and bitches

I actually lol'd. Site manager thinks I'm a bit weird :ninja:

Believe it or not but those dirty poms got 100 r34 gtr's delivered....not like they'd know how to drive the things though. Aus got the r32's though.

I agree with this. If it's doing it more often in the heat then it may not be fuel pump related....

I lol'd...

You is so asian Brandon :)

Brandon and I went to the efi dyno day. Pretty sure colin rocked up too. The actual people in charge there were great and everything was done professionally. A week before hand I spoke with a guy named Rick on the phone to enquire about a nistune for my car. The dude knew his shit and was a top guy to talk to. I'll be going there to get my work done. In saying all of that though, I get the feeling that some of their 'helpers' on the dyno day fit the boost losers category which may explain the skids and stuff.

Still not sure on the 34s being delivered to the Uk. I've never heard that before and I'm struggling to find a reliable source with where all the cars were exported to. gtr.co.uk should have something I reckon.

I don't discriminate. I'm talking purely lulz n bitches. lol.

My mistake, 100 33's and 100 34's....actually no just the r34's

mmm still skeptical. I've got one of clarksons articles at home in which he reviews the R34 and he says in it thats its a shame because Nissan were intending on importing the car to the Uk but couldn't drum up enough interest so they canned the idea. I'll dig it out when I'm home on monday.

Yeh you could be right holmes. Who cares in reality though. Like I said before stupid dirty pom's can't drive properly :ninja:

:ninja: General consensus. UK Drivers > Aussie drivers. The sheer amount of retards/people who have no business being in a car over here is ridiculous. They just get in the car and then switch off. Epic fail.

I know that the Poms got R34s cause they had somthing different about them like the Gmeter was ulocked for viewing on the dash display, or maybe it was locked cant remember

Ive got a movie at home that talks to the guy that got the contract from nissan in the UK do do the servicing or the training or somthing, i will watch it tonight and get all the details!

i should of got bolt on flares and bigger wheels :ninja:

Nah that thing looks alright but I don't think r32s suit the bolt on look.

Awesome :)

pfft misquote fail. Who are you the courier mail?

its not just alright, its f**kin sexual... :ninja: but i was kidding about the smite... or was i?

not sexual imo. Better off with a proper wide body overfender because bolt ons just don't flow with the car at all. That one semi pulls it off because of the awesome black paint and epic wing so it all ties in with the extreme racer look but I still don't reckon it looks as good as a regular 32 with tough fitment. Oh and the rears don't look that much wider than what you would fit in there with stock guards? Needs more 18 x 14 +0

Hm I may have to agree with you on that.... Stupid bogans :D and female drivers (runs and hides)

Sounds awesome. There's another vid with clarkson reviewing the r34 gtr, pretty sure he said the same thing about the gmeter being unlocked and translated or something for the uk versions.

god plz smite colins gtr.

    • @Haggerty you still haven't answered my question.  Many things you are saying do not make sense for someone who can tune, yet I would not expect someone who cannot tune to be playing with the things in the ECU that you are.  This process would be a lot quicker to figure out if we can remove user error from the equation.
    • If as it's stalling, the fuel pressure rises, it's saying there's less vacuum in the intake manifold. This is pretty typical of an engine that is slowing down.   While typically is agree it sounds fuel related, it really sounds fuel/air mixture related. Since the whole system has been refurbished, including injectors, pump, etc, it's likely we've altered how well the system is delivering fuel. If someone before you has messed with the IACV because it needed fiddling with as the fuel system was dieing out, we need to readjust it back. Getting things back to factory spec everywhere, is what's going to help the entire system. So if it idles at 400rpm with no IACV, that needs raising. Getting factory air flow back to normal will help us get everything back in spec, and likely help chase down any other issues. Back on IACV, if the base idle (no IACV plugged in) is too far out, it's a lot harder for the ECU to control idle. The IACV duty cycle causes non linear variations in reality. When I've tuned the idle valves in the past, you need to keep it in a relatively narrow window on aftermarket ecus to stop them doing wild dances. It also means if your base idle is too low, the valve needs to open too much, and then the smallest % change ends up being a huge variation.
    • I guess one thing that might be wrong is the manifold pressure.  It is a constant -5.9 and never moves even under 100% throttle and load.  I would expect it to atleast go to 0 correct?  It's doing this with the OEM MAP as well as the ECU vacuum sensor. When trying to tune the base map under load the crosshairs only climb vertically with RPM, but always in the -5.9 column.
    • AHHHH gotchaa, I'll do that once I am home again. I tried doing the harness with the multimeter but it seems the car needed a jump, there was no power when it was in the "ON" position. Not sure if I should use car battery jump starter or if its because the stuff that has been disconnect the car just does send power.
    • As far as I can tell I have everything properly set in the Haltech software for engine size, injector data, all sensors seem to be reporting proper numbers.  If I change any injector details it doesnt run right.    Changing the base map is having the biggest change in response, im not sure how people are saying it doesnt really matter.  I'm guessing under normal conditions the ECU is able to self adjust and keep everything smooth.   Right now my best performance is happening by lowering the base map just enough to where the ECU us doing short term cut of about 45% to reach the target Lambda of 14.7.  That way when I start putting load on it still has high enough fuel map to not be so lean.  After 2500 rpm I raised the base map to what would be really rich at no load, but still helps with the lean spots on load.  I figure I don't have much reason to be above 2500rpm with no load.  When watching other videos it seems their target is reached much faster than mine.  Mine takes forever to adjust and reach the target. My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
