Lakeside Open Sprints - Sunday 29th August. Get amoungst it. I don't want to be all alone

If everything goes right at ERD this week I am in.

Bigger brakes will be on and got some wheels with correct fitting tyres ready to go

You pay per driver, so no.

However, if they do passenger runs at the end of the day I can take you for a spin. Bring a helmut

NP :)

+1

However, be sure to take it easy if Lakeside is your first sprint outing. It's a killer track, and there is no room to make a mistake (except at hungary). Stick to 8/10ths or so.

BTW John, remember that argument a while ago about giving way to every lane when entering a road?

While I couldn't find any legislation on it, the accepted rule seemed to be you had to give way to the lane you want to enter + 1 lane over.

Well, some sped completely failed to do that today and drove out almost straight into me as I tried to change lanes into the left lane :)

I was indicating for ages and everything, useless cocknugget. Lucky for him:

a) I (unlike him) have situational awareness and saw him about to crash into me

b) Knew (due to the aforementioned situational awareness) that I could swerve back into my old lane without hitting anyone

c) Had time to do b) (just)

d) Was in the Skyline, which I care about getting all banged up, and not the XF, which I would happily write off with with someone else at fault. If I was in that, I would have smashed the accellerator down and ploughed into him

Useless c*nts, should be allowed to shoot them or something

That's exactly why the legislation used to say "all lanes of traffic must be clear before entering". But as we discovered last time, it's not in there anymore and I rescinded my argument/statement/comments. I still wait for all lanes to clear though because of dickheads like the one you encountered. They'd change lanes into me and be two blocks away by the time they realised anything happened.

And thanks for the suggestion before. It was worth a look. I might just have to save up and buy the whole word :)

f**k Russell Island. Went to a house party there one night because I thought awesome a party on an island it will be the bomb. Think again f**kface, that place is like going back in time. f**kin hellhole.

I was in fear of my car being jacked; I felt I had some sense of security though as up the street there was a few demountable buildings with the words "POLICE" on the door.

Caught a cold, didn't get the job I applied for and had to wait 10 minutes for my nuggets to cook at maccas this afternoon.

Sad day for all.

I'll accept "the lane you want to go into plus 1 lane over" as being sane :ermm:

Thanks mangs, knew I could count on you :ermm:

The increase from 55 cents to 60 cents was not objected by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) nor by the Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, Senator Stephen Conroy.

Oh look, yet another thing to blame that asshat for :)

    • Have you done the Ignition Sync Wizard in the AEM software?
    • Find out what RPM it was idling at with the IACV unplugged. It's very weird that the rpm didn't change at all, and then it stalled. When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
