Hi All,

Am getting the necessary parts together for a turbo upgrade, met a guy who upgraded his R33 GTR injectors and wants to sell his stock items (Car has only done 40,000 K's). I did some research and bumped into the terms "top feed" and "side feed".

Can I swap my standard 370cc injectors for the GTR 440's? Is it a straight swap? Do I need to replace my fuel rail?

Any advice woudl be appreciated.

Cheers.

you'd also need a balast resistor pack (dropping resistor pack), as simply plugging them in will blow up your ECU due to being low impedance, and an aftermarket ECU if you don't have one to make the necessary changes to allow the car to run with bigger injectors.

Get 6 x s15 injectors, or go and buy injectors that are meant to go in your car. (Side feed, high impedance)

Another option are some Rx7 injectors - Denso 555's i beleive. Straigh bolt on, good over well over 300rwkw.

Im in the process of buying some second hand ones.

They are an old design Denso 550cc. Just be careful with this option. I know there are a few people running them but it's fairly well known in the rotary world that the factory injectors are a little unstable at anything higher than 80% duty.

Unstable like they start to lose their shit and yell at people? Yeah I do that too but only above 90%.

Plus I am side feed as food goes in my mouth and not into the top of my head.

sure do, they flow about 290rwkw safely in a RB25 with a decent enough turbo.

They are about 415cc.

yer 440cc, just dont ask nissan for a price on them if you want to live a long life....

wrx injectors also fit and are 440cc

Dude when you have to be at work at 7am on a Sunday to get the job done, UNPAID, with Clipsal only 1 km away, you'de go a little stir crazy yourself.

I feel like some side feed pizza for lunch.

    • We have a huge update coming in the next few months, version 5 of Invision will be released. I'm holding off any changes until after this change as I'm not sure what features will be removed or introduced.
    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching
    • Quite right, if you make it to that pension you deserve every cent
    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
