Hi guys,

I have been hunting around for a thicker ali radiator to suit my R33 GTR and while there are some nice products out of Japan the cost isn't so nice esp considering the current exchange rates. A bit of research here on SAU found that a couple of hi-po GTR's are using PWR's cross-flow radiator including Snowmans and Mark/Russ's cars amongst others.

So I got in contact with PWR and they are willing to run a batch of these radiators to suit R33 GTR's with a min of 15 units and a max of around 20.

If you have no idea what cross-flow is it basically means that the flow across the radiator is from side to side rather than top to bottom and this has the benefit of improved cooling esp on the track. Snowie's recent test run at PI produced good results.

Now this EOI is open until 17th April to see if there are enough people interested and if so I will start an 'official' GB which will require a deposit from interested parties. PLEASE DO NOT POST AN EOI UNLESS YOU ARE SERIOUS!!

Info:

Core: 42mm

Cost: $625+gst (norm price is $735+gst, so a saving of around $120)

Postage:

Syd $30 plus gst

Mel $35 plus gst

Adel $40 plus gst

Perth $90 plus gst

Bris $15 plus gst

Note that these are approx and will be confirmed with a post code.

For 15-20 radiators expected manufacture time is around 2 weeks.

Cheers

Ant.

I would think there is a limited chance of getting min 15 people over Easter in shich a short time frame.

Being thicker, what modifications need to be done to the car to fit? Is it custom designed for the R33 GTR? Standard fittings for tubing etc? A link to the website if available?

To my knowledge being custom designed to suit the R33 GTR it will use the std mount points and the std hoses will fit. I believe that the fan shroud will fit but may need some mods to ensure it doesn't clash with anything. Of course the rad cap will be moved to the right as per the attached pic.

PWR's website is: http://www.pwr.com.au

GB closed. I know it wasn't open for very long but judging from the amount of EOI's there isn't enough interest to make this happen anytime soon.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
