Ok the reason i have listed the two price options is i thought someone may want it as a track or drift car and wouldnt need/want rego.

This has been my daily for 1.5-2yrs. It was to be my project but after doing the mods listed i lost interest and decided to stop building and use it as a daily - i commute so i drove it to the station and back 5 days and then what i ever i did on the weekends.

it is what i would call a doer upper, it is rough on the outside but has never given me any mechanical dramas - that said i do bugger all kms im 3min from the station - ive only done 15000kms in the 1.5 to 2 yrs.

Ok down to business. The main problem with the car is the body and yes i bought it like that! My original plans were full spray and widekit and then engine etc. There is some rust on the hatch -spolier holes. and the sunroof is dented in slightly and does leak with heavy rain - just park it on a hill and its ok - has been garaged since i bought it. There would be rust around the sunroof. I also nudged the front with another car so the front bar is abit screwed - not too bad its on but is scratched and flimsy.

Pics will be up asap today/tonight

Im trying to be as honest as possible and will add any other issues i think off - just thought of one - clutch sqeaks.

Cheers Richard

hey guys the paint actually looks better in the pics than in real life im no photographer.

If you want more pics or have questions let me know. i am after a quick sale but will not give it away. Also no test pilots. Cash or bank cheque and not really after an interstate sale but i suppose something could be worked out for a genuine buyer.

cheers rich

    • This. The R34 handbrake icon DOES come up when the brake fluid level is low. You might be sitting right on that threshhold. I have been down this diagnosis path and this was the solution (and it was pretty much as full as your picture is to begin with).
    • Unfortunately the cavaet to that is that while any scan tool should be able to read the code, the workshop will need a consult plug to OBD socket adapter. You don't have a location on your profile, where are you based?
    • @Haggerty this is your red flag. In MAP based ECU's the Manifold pressure X RPM calculation is how the engine knows it is actually...running/going through ANY load. You are confusing the term 'base map' with your base VE/Fuel table. When most people say 'base map' they mean the stock entire tune shipped with the ECU, hopefully aimed at a specific car/setup to use as a base for beginning to tune your specific car. Haltech has a lot of documentation (or at least they used to, I expect it to be better now). Read it voraciously.
    • I saw you mention this earlier and it raised a red flag, but I couldn't believe it was real. Yes, the vacuum signal should vary. It is the one and only load signal from the engine to the ECU, and it MUST vary. It is either not connected or is badly f**ked up in some way.
    • @Haggerty you still haven't answered my question.  Many things you are saying do not make sense for someone who can tune, yet I would not expect someone who cannot tune to be playing with the things in the ECU that you are.  This process would be a lot quicker to figure out if we can remove user error from the equation.
