errr i have my own house.. and no i don't rent.. i could have bought a GTR but decided that it wasnt what i wanted for the basis of a couple of factors..

1. It was bought for a weekend car as i have a daily already (what i can afford two cars OMFG) in which i dont even drive it couple of times a month and didnt feel like 50-60k was viable for something i don't use that much

2. I'm buying a second house in which i wouldnt be getting if i bought a GTR

3. For the same reason as others on here.. I like working on my car.. And if i bought a GTR (33 or 34) there is very little i would change as i think they look superb already

4. Once you GTFO i promise i will STFU.. So let me get the door for you?

You seem to think that everyone is poor.. And that owning a GTR gives you some sort of higher class status.. your wrong mate.. You seem to judge everyone on their car.. "Oh no GTR then.. obviously you live in a cardboard box then". And i don't think anyone on here gives two f**king shits about you on here.. I'll judge you on your attitude.. Your a twat.. I'm not getting into a Interwebz fight with you over it.. So sorry for breaking topic and good luck with the conversion (if you choose it)

Firstly, i mentioned this is a public forum.... i dont expect people to care about what i think. i dont like R34 GT-T..... and thats that. Your spitefulness wont make me change my mind. And everyone is open to his or her opinions and has rights to express it openly.

so you...... grow some balls and take some criticism.

personally i dont give a rats arse what you think or how you feel towards me...nor did i have a problem with you in the first place.

but if your just gonna jump out of no where and start a conversation by saying GTFO.... then just STFU. end of story

And back to the topic..........

Isn't the rb25 bore 86mm? You'll need to get your block bored and get it all balanced out when the stroker kit goes in.

Could still use an 86mm bore just you wouldnt quite get the 2.8L. I'd have to check but i think the HKS stroker kits are offered with a range of pistons from 86mm up to 88mm :S

    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
    • So, now all you need to do is connect the 2 or 3x 12v feeds into the unit to permanent 12v, ACC 12V and IGN 12V that you can find in the spot behind the stereo, and the earth, and then it will switch on with the car.
