New Hid's

Hey all,

Me and my mate just installed my new 6000K HID's in my R34, they seem to be working fine... Now. Lol. When we first turned them on, they were working fine, so we started cleaning up and we were gonna leave them on for 10 minutes just as a burn in period. But after about a minute, the left hand headlight just turned off. So we checked everything, everything was still connected and seemed to be fine. So i turned them off and on again and it just came back on. It stayed on for the 10 minutes this time, so it seems to be working fine now. I just wanted to find out what would cause it to do that and if it might happen again?

I must say, they look sick! Ridiculously bright lol, but sooooooooo cool!

Common sense would tell you to swap the Ballasts to the other globe if it re-occurs; to determine if the issue lies with the bulb or the ballast.

Find out which it is and contact the place of purchase for a swap.

Well it happened again last night when i was driving, except on the other side this time. Works fine again when i turn them off and on though, and stays on. Only happens when i first try to turn them on.

They work perfectly after that initial fault

bring them back mate and ask them for a swap, ps how much they set you back?

Got em off eBay, so they only set me back $92!

Had a look though, and its the exact same kit that all the shops are selling around here for $300.

I have the warranty, so i can get a replacement if needed, you guys think its necessary?
