i got your dump pipe put in :D ... its good!! :) and yeah theres definitely a difference but i'm still running about 6-7 psi LOL ... gotta get a ebc ... i think my car is runnin much richer too ... got a question though ... i can't use the heat shield now with the dump pipe in there it will not fit in... theres no way to make it fit is there? so i think i may have to steal that CAI off ya :D also i think i may have to heat wrap the intake pipes LOL ... the other thing i did was put on the teins ... the ride is a bit bumpier but not that much ... i like it :D theres absolutely no body role and corners feel much easier to take LOL :D ... i think eventually your car will be mine steve LOL :D

Sorry, no way you can fit the heat shield, thats why the dump was wrapped, to keep the heat down.

If you are only getting 6-7psi, I would expect that you must have a pretty restrictive exhaust - sorry to say. I had 9psi with cat and cat back, about 10 when the dump went on.

The main difference I found with the dump though was not increase in boost, but a really early spool up. I started making boost around 2200-2300 and the mid range felt a bit crisper when at part throttle.

I have the partition here, pick it up anytime. It may not fit perfect, but it would make a pretty good template so you could customise one for your car - easy to make AND CHEAP :D lol

Good to hear the tiens arent kidney jarring - sounds like the same one's Enrico has.

nah i dont' think its the exhaust being too restrictive .. i can't see how it can ... the only way to know is when i get the boost controller really :D .. but yeah the car is definitely 100% better especially now that i got a wheel alignment from bridgestone... free plug for bridgestone at mile end on henley beach road ... the guy was great .. cant' remember his name ... but i went to the one on gouger but it is closed due to renovations and the other guy said that that larry fella who all u guys love has left bridgestone and is now going to be working for the goverment?? ... guess hes following in steves footsteps :( ... but yeah now im taking corner faster without even hearing the wheels screech ... what a difference it makes!!!! :( ... the guy doing my car told me it was way off before he fixed it ... can't remember exactly what he said but it had 16mm toe in? or something like that?? LOL when it should be 2 :D hehehe

I am not sure about more heat wrapping, I only had the dump done and it seemed fine, didnt melt any wires or anything.

If you are worried just keep an eye on it, if anything looks like it is starting to show signs of heat fatigue, wrap it/shield it.

A bleeder shouldnt cost too much, and it will definately help, just dont wind in too much with the stock cooler or you will be needing a new turbo.

well to answer the second part of the question .. they did a 4 wheel alignment using their fancy hardware and computer :( ... notice quite an improvement ... in the morning my tyres were squeaking when i was turnin a little fast whereas in the afternoon they weren't squeaking at all :( and i was takin the corners a little faster since it was like 3 in the morning ...

    • Yeah, it's getting like that, my daughter is coming over on Thursday to help me remove the bonnet so I can install the Carbuilders underbonnet stuff,  I might get her to give me a hand and remove the hardtop, maybe, because on really hot days the detachable hardtop helps the aircon keep the interior cool, the heat just punches straight through to rag top I also don't have enough hair for the "wind in the hair" experience, so there is that....LOL
    • Could be falling edge/rising edge is set wrong. Are you getting sync errors?
    • On BMWs what I do because I'm more confident that I can't instantly crush the pinch welds and do thousands of USD in chassis damage is use a set of rubber jacking pads designed to protect the chassis/plastic adapter and raise a corner of the car, place the aforementioned 2x12 inch wooden planks under a tire, drop the car, then this normally gives me enough clearance to get to the front central jack point. If you don't need it to be a ramp it only needs to be 1-1.5 feet long. On my R33 I do not trust the pinch welds to tolerate any of this so I drive up on the ramps. Before then when I had to get a new floor jack that no longer cleared the front lip I removed it to get enough clearance to put the jack under it. Once you're on the ramps once you simply never let the car down to the ground. It lives on the ramps or on jack stands.
    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
