So, I cant find a decent set of watanabes around :)

As such I'm looking at running superlites. If you look at their website they have "GTR Superlites" Running sizes around 16x8+4/-4/+12 seeing however you like it.This seemed ideal so I sent them an email asking about prices etc.

They've mentioned that the wheels are listed as track use only as they are only "rated" to 300kg each. Apparently they are in fact ACTUALLY super light.

So my question to you is, what's the risk of running these on a 32 thats gonna be hitting the track ? I think the weight of my car is around the 1200kg marker but I'd hate for things to go south on track?

Also if they are good enough for the track.... surely they can survive the trip to work and back? Legalities aside.

Anyone running these? Know anything about them etc?

dont forget that when you divide 1200 by 4 you get 300

so you have 300 a corner, when your car is sitting flat - not moving....

now think what happens to the weight of the car when braking... and cornering... and breaking and cornering at the same time...

These GTR wheels are for race applications only and have low load rate of 324kg due to the lightening of the wheel on average 2 kg lighter than the standard Superlite. Should you require wheels for street use suggest the standard bolt on Superlite ( load capacity average 825kg ). Please contact your local tyre retailer for pricing, deliver times approximately 3 weeks from order.

Should you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

Exact quote from guy who I was emailing.

Just seems odd they are suitable for track use and not street use, could it just be an adr thing?

I swear I've seen a few 32's and that rolling on these, maybe its the standard superlites, but i cant seem to get an offset listing for those.
