Hi, I dont know a huge ammount of cars and i was wondering if it is possible to take the turbo out of the engines in cars. To be specific would it be possible to take the turbo out of this car: http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...me&__Nne=15 And make it legal for a p plate driver to drive. If this is possible how much would it cost and can you please tell me the full procedure of what you need to do to make it legal for a p plater to drive. By the way its for NSW p plate driver laws

This has been covered about a million times, have a bit of a search and you will find what you are looking for mate.

And in the end I believe that even if you pull the turbo off, it will still be a no go for a p-plater.

Just looked at the link - why on earth would you want to do such a terrible thing to such a nice car!! lol

its possible and it will run fine....... probably. but all those mods are to support a big turbo with big boost. turn it NA and it will have no power and use a crap load of fuel. but yes it will run!

im not sure you can register it anyway, as all Spec R S15s are turbo, as mentioned get an Autech, they are already NA, have plenty of power and are still a beautiful car to drive. in fact the only major difference between the turbo and autech is the lack of a turbo. it still has the brakes and 6 speed gearbox, climate control blah blah. just make sure you have it throughly checked before you buy it

It is possible to remove the Turbo's (yes all 4) from a Yellow Dragon, then if you paint it red you can drive it on your P's, and it is shitloads faster than BMW M3, BMW M5, BMW M6 and a Merc CLS500 (all 2008). and they can be had for around $22,000-$28,000 which should leave daddy some money for your breast Augmentation

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
