R32 Starting Problems

Ohk so my mate has a RB20DE R32,

He was driving along the highway and it randomly jerked,

Did it again 5 mins later then again,

So he pulled over and the brace for the battery had come lose,

Swung over to the terminal and welded itself to it

Ever since then the car has trouble starting after he finishes school,

Starts fine in the morning but take about 5 seconds to tick over after its been in the sun all day.

Any Ideas?

Maybe the wiring got burnt out and whats left of the wiring is having trouble transmitting the power (or getting a good earth)
