Hi all, this post is an offer:

I have a copy of Nissan FAST working here so if you give me your VIN or Chassis/Model/Year then I can lookup genuine parts and see what else used those parts...

So the offer is, please post your questions here. then I can look it up and repost here... which means the parts thread gets some part numbers.

Limitations: only have up to 2001 version so no newer cars are covered... However, R32, R33, R34, A31, C33 etc are in there so yeah.

easiest to get exact results with the VIN Number in form (for example) WGNC34-004669 (this is my Stagea)

This gives me trim level, engine type, even body colour ... Code... lol

The program has a Parts Master module which if you enter a part number will show what cars that part was used on... I find handy for cross referencing to more common Nissans which are in the book at the local car part place.

oh, PS if you give the NZ Plate number (for NZ users only) then I can use CarJam and lookup the VIN (usually)... so yeah.

Cheers

Im sorry but i havent got the VIN for this car, its a customers, but its a R34 GTT with snapped rear wheel studs ;)

Would really appreciate if you could find the rear wheel stud VIN for it!

ok well year, engine, transmission, 2wd/4wd, and trim level is helpful...

I will lookup and see if there are many different versions.. if not I will repost with the part numbers...

FAST Reckons the part number is:

Part number: 43222-50J00

Description: BOLT-HUB

it seems to be used across the Nissan car range, a quite common part...

Incidentally the actual rear hub part number:

43202-85F00 (HUB ASSY-REAR aka HUB REAR WHEEL)

(it seems this assembly includes the 5 "BOLT-HUB"s)

The actual Hub is used by these vehicles:

CAR, YYMM

C35, 9706 on

R33, 9702 on

R34, 9805 on

S14, 9701 on

S15, 9901 on

WC34, 9701 on

F50, 0101 on

Z32, 9701 on

ok will run that number

see what we get... will post back with specs and screenies

Ideally you would post this request in the Stagea part of the forums... but all good

OK here goes:

The original Car is an

2001 RS FOUR S

RB25DET 4WD Manual

The Hood (Bonnet) is the same part across Autech and "Normal"... so would fit without changing the front cut

Sorry have not checked the grille yet...

Your car in the main screen of FAST:

(the labels are Japanese but I translated them)

RSFS == RS FOUR S

Note: I also have "Z" for interior colour code my interior is black leather.. but then mine is also a Series 1

The Hood part number as shown in Parts Master (parts master shows all the cars a particular part number was applied to):

This indicates the Hood was the same across Autech or "normal"

The Stagea Option Code reference Diagrams (mostly Japanese but some is decipherable):

Remembering that your Model code is:

TGKPREFC34UDA-----

So:

1 to 13

TGKPREFC34UDA

14 to 18

-----

(these seem to be optional equipment... LSD etc)

(some TRIM levels have little optional equipment since they come with everything)

thnx mate, how long will this usually take

haha well...

1. I have to see your post... only saw it tonight...

2. I have to fire up my virtual machine with FAST in it... (since it doesn't run under Windows 7 LOL)

3. Have to compile the information into a post with screenshots etc..

4. Got interrupted by a mate asking for computer build advise.

Just poking around in FAST is appears that Series 2 Manual RB25DET cars were always equipped with LSD...

Anyone?

Kinda makes sense, as the Manual ones would be more likely to cause wheelspin!

Also teh Momo wheel was an option from the factory... I have it in the accessories list for the car in FAST...

Can't translate Japanese unfortunately so I can't tell which option codes mean exactly what... but it *was* an option... so even if the option wasn't applied from the factory, it could have been upgraded or such...

not quite leather?hmm do u know whats goin on here

sorry don't know:

1. my car was "upgraded" to leather afterward

2. interior colour code does not include seats colour?

I'm going with option 2...

I think that the leather seats (also power adjust) are an option in the 14th to 18th digits in the Model code... probably.

That's what I'm going with.

  • 10 months later...

just found this thread trying to shed some light on my own FAST results.

post-a303735-1.jpg

it appears everything is in order, it is a 99 RSfourV, manual, pearl white, with dual roofs.

for options 14 to 18

Option 16 = sunroofs (and obviously the 1 or 2 number denoting if it is single or dual roofs

and interior code "Z" must be the velour/suede bucket interior (similar to 260RS). the car i FAST'd has this interior, and so does deceiver33 - so that explains that. i think

one thing that confuses me though, is for driveline the options are 'A = 2wd' or 'N = 4wd' and my code reads "P"???

i'd also love to know what the letter after the number '34' is. one of the options being 'E = EGI' or 'U = jap jibberish'. what is EGI??

    • So.....wire it up appropriately. You can't use the resister pack with those injectors anyway.
    • that’s the thing i’m on ID1050s and haltech not getting power due to the injector resistor
    • ahh okay cheers, i was thinking of just going for the m073, think m079 would be way too overkill considering they are same size.
    • My first car was a HG. I'm very familiar with them. A mild cam upgrade is a good idea. The 186 is a very flexible engine - meaning it has good torque from down low. You can give up a little torque down low for quite a lot more excitement in the mid range, and a bit more up top - but they are not exactly a rev monster. You need to upgrade valve springs at the minimum. For a bigger cam, you'd want to make sure it wasn't still running the original fibre cam gear. That would be unlikely, given that most of them shat themselves in the 70s and 80s, but still within the realms of possibility. Metal cam gear required. Carbies are a huge issue. The classic upgrade was always a Holley 350, which works, but is usually pretty bad for fuel consumption. The 186S had a 2 barrel Stromberg on it that was very similar to the one on the 253, and is a reasonable thing if you can find one, and find someone to help you get it set up (which is the same issue with setting up a 350 to work nice). The more classic upgrade was twin sidedraught CD type carbs, or triples of same, or triple Webers. The XU-1 triple Webers being the best example. You can still buy all this stuff new, I think, but it's a lot of coin to drop. And then the people able to set them up are getting fewer and further in between. There's still some, but it used to be everyone's** dad and uncle could do it. **Not everyone's! But a lot. All in all, I wouldn't get too carried away with the engine. Anything you do to it without a full rebuild for power and revs will only make it slightly faster. I am all in favour of a complete teardown rebuild, with nice rods and pistons, 10 or 10.5:1 compression, and a clean port job with at least a big enough cam to run 98 with that compression, if not bigger. And if I did that to a dirty old red motor, I'd want to inject it too, which I'd struggle to fight against the devil on my shoulder that would argue for ITBs and trumpets. But the bills would start to mount up, and it will still never make stupid power. OK, a few people still know how to build absolutely mental red motors, courtesy of the work that went into HQ racing and modern knowledge being applied. But even a 300HP red motor is no match for an RB20 with a TD06. So you have to decide what it's worth to you. I'd just put a set of 6>2>1 extractors, a 2.5" exhaust and an electronic ignition conversion/dizzy on it and just run the old girl like the fairly slow old girl that she really is.
