Good day!

Does anyone know the exact location of the fuse box for the v35 model ? my skyline has got the air bag light on. I just want to try removing the fuse & clean it a little bit.

cheers

"Turn the key to the on position and watch the airbag light. It should stay solid for 5-7 secs, and then turn off, and then start to flash.

To reset the light, you must turn the key to on, watch the airbag light stay solid for 5-7 secs and as soon as the airbag light turns off, turn the key to the off position (you have to turn the key to off before the airbag light starts to flash, or you must start over). You need to repeat this 5 times. Try to start the car, and hopefully the light will be reset"

No more Air Bag flashing light or Nav screen warning!!

I took it & they pluged it in to the computer the out up was " B1166 LH (Open)

Meaning, the fault is LH curtin air bags. & my car doesn't have side air bags.

& the light is back on.

Any interstate professinals have you had this experince before ?

I have the sedan.

I'll give you something else to check, cause I'm having the same issue as well. The scanner gave me some wierd message like yours too(can't remember if it was the same though as it was ages ago).

Under each of the front seatbelts there is a connector with a wiring harness. Is it loose? Check both front seatbelts. I snapped the connector one day while trying to adjust it(bloody things don't move). And since then the airbag light comes on. If I hook in the connector with a cable tie, it's good. If I play with it, airbag light comes back. Finally decided to order the part from Japan, will be here in a few weeks.

Thankx Skizo, that sounds more like it. did u have it coming each time you were driving ? what was ur error code? B1166 ?

Because the scanner said LH side I gave the LH seat & wiring a good shake & reset using the ON/OFF x 5times. & I have driven about 100k's all around & it still hasn't poped up. so hopefuly it's gone for good.

there is soo much wiring under that seat.

Can't remember the code, it's been so long since i hooked up a scanner to it.

Yes the airbag light would come on every time I drove the car. Even after a reset, it would be back the next time I drove the car, until I cable tied it. So in my case I believe that the broken seatbelt connector on the buckle was the issue.

If it comes back let me know as there are some more detailed things you can check as well.

    • Hi guys . Can someone help me  I bought an Android screen for my Nissan fuga but it won't turn on
    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
