Probably need a few more sensors, exhaust Oxygen sensor, Throttle position sensor, distributor compatible with EFI?

Should be able to get any of these parts off an RB30E (if they are available to you).

Otherwise, install an RB25 head/ecu/loom etc convert it to twin cam.

Might I ask why you're wanting to convert to injected mate?

head is very similar if not the same as RB30E head available here in australia.

I want to get rid of carburetor setup.

It also will be a learning experience.

What do you think?

  • 2 weeks later...

Using a RB30 head, you will lose compression.

You will also need a high pressure EFI fuel pump.

Have a "talk" with Steve at Speed Technology - www.efihardware.com - they have all the stuff you will need. Would look cool with a set of "Weber" manifold and trumpets.

    • The light comes on from low oil pressure. Not temp. Did you do a rebuild or just add an ecu etc?  What oil are you using and where are you getting the pressure reading from
    • So like the title says my 97 rs4v has a oil temp sensor but no triple gauges as it was originally factory navigation. My current setup is not using the factory oil pressure sensor as I'm running a link ecu and a real sensor.  I did leave the oil temp sensor in. So now as I was working on first start up and bleeding coolant I get the oil light on the dash faintly as the oil temp gets to about 60-70c. Oil pressure is 45psi at idle at the same time.  I'm wondering if the temp sender doing this?
    • Well it runs again!  This was a definite case of while I have it apart lol Everything except the body and interior has been restored, refinished, or replaced.  @socal_stagea is my IG if you're bored and want to see all the pics.
    • I already got plug and play Link ecu G4X. Main concern is that the de loom works on s1 motor or not? I already rewired injector and coils loom to suit my bosch injectors and bosch vag coil. I’m not running any Iacv. For cas running the nz wiring kit i bought the neo plug one so it suits the wiring but don’t know it works or it doesn’t matter they work the same on every motor. For wastegate solenoid do i need to wire straight from ecu? What can i do for iat sensor to work or same run from ecu? For Vct solenoid, right now i got s1 vct solenoid on motor so do i need to remove neo connector and add s1 connector to work? Any other thing i missed i need to do to make the motor working on de loom. Any different mechanism on neo vs s1?
