Anyone Know How To Unlock Mobile Phones?

As the title says guys just looking for a way to unlock a mobile phone, a nokia e63 in particular, without having to contact the network.

Thought some of the pc buffs on here might know.

I've already tried googling it (a car forum was not the first place I came to ) but I didn't understand half their lingo.

From what I've gathered I need a box of some sort that connects to the phone in some form (called an MT Box or something or other) but that's about as far as I got.

Crazy Johns can do it but they charge ya for it. I could probably figure it out but it wouldn't help me... iphone jailbreaking/unlocking is easy

its pretty easy, i contacted crazy johns and spoke to them.

in my case the provider i was with had an online application to do this on, took about 15 minutes and it costed me nothing.

one unlocked phone... great!

If you're with 3 network and on a contract, just give them a buzz and they'll unlock it for you...

Not that i know of, im pretty sure you have the contact the service provider and let them unblock it for you since its locked to that network, im guessing your trying to avoid the unlocking fee ?

Your other option is buy an unlocking sim card which, as the name suggests, unlocks you from your provider.... www.dealextreme.com sells some for certain model mobiles.

If youre with 3 you can call customer service and theyll do it for you. Wont cost anything.

I just told them i was going overseas and they unlocked it in 5 mins. We unlocked 2 phones like this.
