Hey guys and girls

I have recently had an RB25DET Neo dropped into my R34 sedan...It was auto 2.0L neo and I have put the 25 in and converted it to manual, the loom has been completely rewired and has had the traction control removed. We started it up with no issues at all, took it for a drive and made a few adjustments to the cas and its running beautifully...It is awesome in first gear but the minute it hits 3500 - 4000rpm in second or any other gear it goes into fail-safe mode, turns to crap and gives the engine codes 44 and 46 which are tcs and tps. Apon doing some more research we noticed that we are missing unit called a "Throttle control unit" which appears to be in the 25det only from the r34 range...and being a 20de r34 it doesnt have this unit...We contacted nissan and their response was "Yes we have the unit available, $2000 please." WTF $2000????

My question is... Has anyone else come across this problem? Can something be done to the ecu to remove or bypass the need for this unit so I can get my car back on the road running as a 25det should? or does someone have one of these units that they would be willing to sell to me cheaper than I have been quoted?

Oh and I am running the standard 25det ecu

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers,

    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
