funkymonkey, if you want to tranfer your liscence to SA you need to be a resident and have evidence of residential status, such as a bill or letter with your name sent to a postal address in SA. Sorry I dont know where the offices are, but here is a link to the website http://www.transport.sa.gov.au/

well I rang them up n asked specific details, told em i was moving to adelaide etc, what was the procedure n all, and they said it should be OK, i've got a name of the person I spolke to and when I get there (city RTA) i gotta go n ask for her n she'll sort me out... I jus have to get there lol

HAHA - i wanna see u get rego, pass through the front part of regency, then make it out of Adelaide without a defect notice. If u can do that, u have run the cannonball my friend

Right on the money Steve, VIC has the laxest of rego rules (once you rego you never go back and you pay your renewal at the post office (around $400) and they mail you the sticker, no pink slips, blueslips or any slip...) so I dun think I'll be changing my rego over.

Besides, I'd love to see em try to defect a stock standard non turbo :P (many a cop in melb has tried to find a BOV or the stealth turbo only to have his partner laff at him when I tell em that its an N/A)

the new rule changes, basically you're allowed to lose 4 points then after that for every point you lose you get suspended for a month...

I'm sitting on 4 points atm, next point is a 1 month suspension and so on. Every time you get suspended your P's get extended by 6 months.

Oh an not displaying your P plates is a 3 point fine.

If you could shove lumps of coal up VIC politicians they'd be shittin diamonds in a couple of days.

id rather have your licencing laws, than not be allowed to drive a modified skyline, engineered or not. Its not that hard to keep the points.

Well i moved to darwin for a year and changed my licence to a NT one and when i moved back to SA i went to change my licence back to an SA one and they were gonna keep me on the NT system because they thought i originally got my licence there, but i explained it to em and got back 2 the SA system...

So i dunno how u would go changing your licence over but i mean hey it would b worth a try, i mean all u can get is a no.

One thing worth a mention tho is i love the NT system how u don't loose points for speeding no matter what state your in.... One of my mates managed to get one and he lives in SA got done doing 160 in a 110 zone which is instant loss of licence but the cop saw his licence and just said yep no worries

      Got it back home and got started pulling the hub off and diagnose the issue. Axle was stuck after removing the 36mm nut so i used a 3 jaw puller to try and push it out and... eH5FXvJ8.mp4   spend the next few hours trying to remove the axle from the remaining hub as it was very much jammed in there when the spindle sheared off. resulting damage as below R53AIy6 - Imgur.mp4   Looks like the was already a stress fracturing in the spindle as can be seen with the darker cracked section My working theory is maybe when the pinion gear exploded last year the shock put through the hub was the initial crack. Then a few events later it finally let go. Just lucky it happened where it did and not 190km/h on the next sweeper or into the hairpin The bearing/hub assembly went in in 2019 and were non-genuine "ZSS" assemblies and no nails were harmed in the process. #BreakHubsNotNails

      Thanks mate, couldn't find in VIC, ended up ordering one from NSW, getting rwc to get new plates and registration done.

      Before all the EFR fan boys come in, have a look at: https://www.garrettmotion.com/racing-and-performance/performance-catalog/turbo/g-series-ii-g30-825-58mm/ It also comes in a T4 1.06 divided housing. I would dare say if you want response & also decent power, this thing would chop.   AND apologies, just re-read your post, you've already bought the turbo... whatever you do, make sure you stick with divided housing and proper twin scroll manifold.

      People have got to stop doing that. ShatGPT is not a search engine. It is a hallucination factory.   I also would recommend the 1.05. The .83 will "work" for you , in that it will be more responsive, but I think you'll find that it won't be anywhere near as good running it out to 8000rpm as the big housing will be.
