wtf1.gifWhy hasn't anybody posted in here today??!........too many Crows supporters on this site me thinks! :)

Seriously though, one thing they have going for them (as Craigy said) is that it's only February.

On the other hand, Port have to maintain that thru the season proper.........I'm yet to be convinced

Port were way too good yesterday. The score actually flattered the Crows as I think they were gifted 3 goals by the umps. I'm not overly concerned except for the attitude and approach of the Crows to the game. As I said in my OP this is the Mickey Mouse Cup, it counts for 0. But well done to the Power as they needed to win given the current situation with both the PAMFC & Power.

Not sure who was missing from the Power line up as I was really only paying attention to their youngsters for DT & SC purposes but the Crows had Bock, Tippet, Scott Thompson & Porplyzia missing. Those 4 will make a difference to the team but if they approach any AFL game with the same attitude as yesterday then they will get flogged like they were yesterday.

But it is only February and I remain confident that it will be a good year for the hoops (depending upon injuries).

didn't see the game Dave, but I don't think Tredders and a few other seniors were out there.

I reckon it was more important for Port to win yesterday than the Crows given the current situation at Alberton.......a loss to the Crows will be swept under the rug and be referred to as a loss in a Mickey Mouse comp, but on the other hand, if Port lost yeasterday, the ramifications would've been far greater.

At the moment, Port needs to win regularly in any comp just to appease the supporters and the money men.

Very true. I must admit I'm a little shocked by the result although I didn't think the crows would piss it in either.

Huh!!!

Who are these people?

Where were they last year?

No Warren Gary, Mots or Broges (amongst others) and still able to manufacture watchable footy for the first time in over 12 mths!

Not to mention that 4 of 5 of our BOG's were part of the old brigade....again, where were they last year, lol?

I'm thinking Boak, Cloke & Carlile will be players to watch this year.

Not alot of my attention goes into this competition. Was good to see Port manufacture a decent win tho.

Just thought I'ld bump this thread and say GOOOO FREEEOOOOOO!! Was good to see them play well (has been a while). Looking forward to seeing how there new players go for the rest of the season seeing Barlow had 34 disposals and 2 goals in his AFL debut! Morabito and Silvagni also played well in there first game.

Ryan, I can see your mob doing great things this year if they can keep up that sort of intensity.

Their harrassment of the Adelaide boys was relentless....they can and will upset some top sides with that brand of footy.

Big question is, can they maintain that form interstate......history proves they are one of the worst travelling teams in the comp.

Crows fans....still too early to judge IMHO.

I'm pretty sure most sides will have games they'd rather forget this year......how frequent that occurs is the key.

I reckon Adelaide coaching staff will be studying that video all week...........and Port boys will do the same re the last quarter.

Crows just didnt play well, no excuses apart from having a couple out. They are capable of playing a far better quality of football, but isn't that the trick for the other 15 teams too

Pete, Port just cant shake that last quarter slump that has almost cost them plenty of games.

Pretty early days, can't really tell who has the early jump on the competition. Look out for the Hawks, Lions and Dogs. I have a feeling Crows will be sub par this year, not by much, but enough to see them out early in September again. Itll be a real shame because some of the older guys havent got long left.

There's a few tough ones this week:

Crows vs Sydney........AAMI - Adelaide.... BUT, will be close if Adelaide play like last week.

Eagles vs Port........Suby - West Coast (they're at home)

Bombers vs Freo.......Etihad - Bombers ( Freo might get cocky and don't travel well)

Hawks vs Cats......MCG - Hawks

Thoughts??

I don't know shit, so don't go by any of the above :worship:

those boys were trying to give me a coronary last night!!

Pies v Dees....should've been 100 points, NOT 1!!!!

Collingwood deserved to lose that no doubt...talk about injustice.

Kangas....bottom 3 material....maybe even bottom 2!

    • When you crank your car, and hit it with a timing light, can you see a steady crank timing?
    • Oh, forgot to add, A few months ago I was getting mixture codes and the car was using crap loads of fuel. You could smell the unburned fuel in the exhaust, it was crazy strong. Economy was over 17.5 l/100 and usually around 19. I smoked the engine and found a leaky CCV hose which I replaced and then I replaced my two pre cat O2 sensors, I also replaced the MAF. This fixed my mixture codes and improved my exonomy but I'm still 14 - 15 l/100 when pottering about town so something is still amiss. Throttle response is much better and it has more pep but I'd like to know why it's still so thirsty (and I'm hoping that whatever it is gives me a bit more poke).
    • Car is on factory injectors/z32 maf/ q45 throttle body/ z32 ecu with nistune
    • Hello all, currently finishing up a rb25 swap into my s14. Having issues with starting, car has spark (confirmed by pulling a plug and watching it spark), has fuel(confirmed by checking pulse/voltage at injectors all spark plugs are soaked in fuel). Car cranks over and pops into the exhaust with a heavy fuel smell but no attempt to start or run, I have torn the timing cover off and triple confirmed timing, turned the CAS in multiple spots both directions, attempted to start with coolant temp and maf unplugged, checked my fuel lines and made sure they weren’t backwards, checked voltage at cas/injectors/coilpacks, made sure all the grounds in the harness are connected and added a few grounding straps (1 from chassis to block, 1 from chassis to head, and 1 from chassis to igniter chip) I am getting stumped here. As a last ditch effort I made a full grounding harness tonight that’s going to run from the battery and add an extra ground from the battery onto the coil pack harness/igniter chip/ intake manifold/ Wiring specialties harness ground/ and alternator. I’m hoping maybe the grounding harness will fix it here but posting here to see if anyone has any other ideas on what else I can check. My fuel pressure is unknown right gauge will be here tomorrow.  IMG_3206.mov
    • yeah I was shocked when I checked my spare OEM on and as below that's how they come from Nissan. (side interesting note new NEO gearbox and replacement park lack the brass bush on the tips and its just all alloy) unsure about damage to the box currently back at 1110 to be pulled down/inspected and selector fork replaced as he built it previously and given the never before seen failure on his billet forks he is replacing it under warranty. He said he has used always OEM the keyway tab without issue for years so it could be an unlucky coincidence. I did talk to him about the sharp corners and stress concentration too. Re: hard shifts i got 7+ years out of the OEM one and the fork itself failed not the keyway. so could be bad luck as I said or an age thing + heat cycles in box and during fabrication of billet?
