Need A Driver...merrylands Areas, Top Dollar For 10 Mins Drive

Recommended Posts

yeah but i'm pretty sure you are allowed to drive an unregistered car to a place specifically for work related to its repair and road worthiness aslong as it is withing a certain distance of the origin.

cant recall the details

Your right, you don't need a permit, they are only for travelling long distances without insurance/rego ect...

if it needs a blue slip you can drive it to your closest blueslip mechanic, if it needs rego you can drive it to your closest RTA. Providing you have all the documents with you that you are going to need to get blue slip/rego done.

I did it yesterday on a car without any numberplates and it sticks out like red dogs balls, I even drove past a general duties officer and he didn't do anything.

If you know someone with a trade plate, that might help.

I drove an 8tonne truck from Auburn to Appin with a trade plate, it was passed the blue slip....... needed a new engineers cert.

waraka

can mod please edit out my mobile number in the first post, than delete this thread thanks.

getting lots of prank calls?

oh and how did it go? would have done the whole thing for 40 bucks...

Driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle is also an offence attracting on the spot infringement notice fines of at least $1012 ($506 for being unregistered and $506 for being uninsured). If the matter goes to court, the maximum fine is $2200 for driving unregistered and $5500 for driving uninsured.

Not heaps relevant, but unreg is now $516, and uninsured is also $516. and if you're a real smartass, there's a "not pay road tax" which is also $516.

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
