I was just wondering SAU would it be ok for my engine if i took it up to the local car wash throw on some degreaser where the dirt and stuff is then hit it with the blaster is this all ok for my engine it won't do anything to my wires etc soz just new to all this stuff and my engine is DIRTY!!!! :P

Ive dont it many atimes and it's fine.

if you have exsposed pod filters cover them and keep the water away from them. dont wont water on the inside of your eng.

Also once washed and removed pod filter cover i get it running to help it dry and stop water from pooling were it shouldn't while i wash the rest of the car.

I have a particular method of washing the engine bay.

1. Cover up pod filter

2. Start by spraying the outline of the engine bay - so from the top where the windscreen ends and the engine bay begins, going across to the sides next to where the battery would be and where the pods are, then across to the bottom. Think of it as drawing a square around your engine bay.

3. Fill in the square
