  1. Seeing as I got the email, I thought I'd respond... Honestly I don't even remember making this post. It was a decade ago. Lol. But reading it through, I clearly had no clue what I was doing and was clutching at straws 🤣 Sorry I can't be more helpful. Start with the other members suggestions. ECM loom, battery ground cable, chassis ground etc.
  2. I just want to thank you for bumping this. A decade later re-read was just as good as it was live. I would like said pics also. One of my old comments suggested I saved them. Who knows where they ended up. Lol.
  3. With a reference pic lie that and the right shaped ratchet spanner it's probly doable. I didn't bother though and just run a new line along the same route and connected it to the rubber bend there.
  4. The line that goes around the back of the head us1 actually the return line. You can cut it off you don't ever plan on using it again. And do the conversion like in your video. It's pretty difficult, if not impossible to remove it with the engine in the car. Easiest way is to disconnect it at each end, and run your new braided line to the intake manifold. You will need a barb type fitting and a small section of rubber hose to connect it to the manifold. Unless you can remove the fitting and press in a new dash fitting.
  5. Before i moved to the US i must have done a billion hours of research about somehow LEGALLY getting my R33 into the country. Such a shame haha. Have seen a couple R33 GTR's floating around Jersey. Even found one of them online. Guy was asking $50KUSD for it lol. Not entirely sure how he gets away with driving it daily. *shrugs* I die a little inside every time i see a Skyline here. Sure im excited.. but the jealousy just kills having had one, and driven so many! Im to impatient and poor to afford a GTR that can be legal. So as soon as i move out of NYC it'l be an S13/14 240SX with RB25 Neo. Probly an S13, as i want something cheap that im not too concerned with hitting walls on a track haha
  6. Well the factory hose has a restrictor in it before the turbo inlet so it some what makes sense. It probly more like acts as a baffle so the oil drops out of the air and drains back to the head instead of into the turbo inlet.
  7. Agreee with that. My LC1 seemed to read great. Had a 10% difference with the sensor used on a dyno.. trusted the dyno sensor and ended up maxxing out 555cc Nismo Injectors with not enough power to match. Ditched the Dyno and operator when he was "going for the 300kw" regardless of the rich detonation, and took over 10% fuel out from 3500rpm and above on the road on the way home. Turned out the LC1 was spot on. I just made sure i re calibrated it each Oil change. 3+ years now.
  8. You dont need to go too crazy like some do. If its inside and dry, any car cover will work. I had my Skyline parked up for 2 years when i left NZ for Perth temporarily. Was only driven by me once every 6-8 months. All i did was disconnect battery, chocked the wheels with handbrake off, low fuel, and a cheap Repco car cover. (garaged) Started first turn every time. Instant oil pressure. No trickle charging or anything. The first stint i went as far as putting the stock rims back on to avoid flatspotting my good tires. But in the end i got lazy and just bumped up the tire pressure. Never had an issue with the RE002's that were on there. Some people get overly paranoid. each to their own obviously. But you dont need to go absolutely crazy. Do whatever makes you comfortable!
  9. Wow your totally right. Really quite obvious really ha. Thanks!
  10. An RB30 would do the job for a bit less probly haha
  11. They would go to anything that prevously had a vac source on the stock plenum. I dont know what other vac provisions it has, but things like, BOV, FPR, Carbon canister, boost gauge etc. Theres a pretty detailed thread lurking around somewhere. Might be able to point you in the right direction.
  12. Wow that is quite a list. It sounds like its going to cost you a far whack to make it any sort of decent. At the bottom of your posts you say "There is nothing worse than fixing up previous owners shonky jobs. " I have to ask, why are you even bothering then? lol. But either way, it will be quite a project, so good luck to you!
  13. See if you can find someone to swap your exhaust for the Trust. Much better than cutting up a nice piece of exhaust! Either swap, or have a center piece made up with no muffler in it, to swap in and out as your mood changes. Id go for the HKS Hi-Power "Silent". Sounds awesome! I had a swappable center piece to put in for quiet times. Personally though, the PEII i thought was only quiet putting around town. I used Lithium's PEII on my R33 to pass inspection, and with the GT30 it is anything but quiet giving it full bananas. lol. My HKS + GT30 and decat:
  14. If you have zero mechanical experience that answer is the best one you can get.
  15. x2. Hes been starting some pretty awesome threads recently.
  16. I feel like it has something to do with that pedestrian protection thingy where it pops the rear of the bonnet if you try mow someone down. Might need to plug it into consult?
  17. Did you clean the dash in any special way? I had endless issues with my Apexi EL2 controller falling off the dash when the weather got warm. Ended up using hot glue. That lasted 12 months. But as to OP, have had one in a work car and it worked pretty good. But i found it stuck to the windscreen better.
  18. Yeah thats kinda what i was getting at. Thinking more chance of core blockages if it doesnt go through the filter first?
  19. I always wondered why Greddy has the oil going through the core before the filter. Im sure if you wanted to you could set it up as you please though. Anyone shed any light on this?
  20. I had similar issues with my R33 runnning a GT30 and a 52mm ebay radiator. Although mine fit with the shroud. Day to day it was the same, but on track i was only gettin 2-3 laps if i was lucky and hitting 100+ too. I think the issue is having the inlet/outlet on the same side of the radiator. If you go too big with the water tubes i think the water drops through the radiator too quickly, and doesnt efficiently use the whole surface area of the core. I always intended on moving the outlet to the opposite end and turning it into a Tri pass.
  21. I am looking forward to seeing/hearing this thing in action!
  22. Pretty good price. What would be the benefit of using that over a Windows Tablet to do the same job?
  23. This saddens me and makes me happy. Im moving to New York in 11 days. Sold R33 in NZ, but i wouldnt have the balls to try it myself. Makes me wish i'd bought that 89 R32 GTR that was uncompliable in NZ a few years back.. $8900. lol.
