  1. Really nice build. Just read from the beginning. Was reading about the original stock radiator blowing up. Looks to me like a single core NA radiator. My R33 GTS25t had the same one. It was being quickly overpowered on the track after the GT30 install, so pulled it out and discovered how tiny it was. Luckily had Lithuims R33 right there in the drive to compare to, and his one was definitely an OEM twin core. Replaced with an item similar to your new one. I wonder if the stock twin core's in ours failed and were replaced with cheaper single cores? Cheap bastards Keep it up! Look forward to some videos!
  2. I use the towhooks for the front of my R33 too. And as stated put stands under the crossmember. Need a pretty low/long jack to jack it up from the crossmember if its lowered. Id suggest making yourself some wooden car ramps too. The other idea i toy'd with was getting four scissor jacks and getting that little piece with the cutout and actually welding it onto the 4 corner jack points. This way it doesnt matter what jack you use. Unfortunately i though of it after the jack point got squashed
  3. Strange. I have a g4 and every other one I have seen has the map sensor on the ECU board. Any photos of it?
  4. As soon as i started reading this i was thinking it sounded like an AFM issue. Well done on tracing the issue! Electrical gremlins are a nightmare to find. I have a circuit in my R33 thats not outputting the full 12v it should. Had multiple things failing on me untill i figured it out. Boost control, fuelpump, CAS, idle control.. lol.
  5. Yeah i guess in a world where everything needs to be somewhat hidden, the less attention you draw the better. Its pretty tidy now! I like the black stealthyness. My next move was a dark grey cam cover in matt. But when i decided to shift to Perth i gave up on any detailing and just enjoyed driving the thing. FFP makes it look soooo much cleaner. Makes mine look tragic! Bar the 4inch intake.. Stealthy little GT30 tucked away though.
  6. Thats the one thing that makes me sad about that turbo... minimal antisurge whistle! it can be overlooked considering the results LOL. Looks stunning in that engine bay tucked in there
  7. Do this. Im living in Perth and have a GT30 R33 in NZ, it sits there for months and months at a time with the -ve disconnected. When i do eventually make it home and start it, it fires first crank. Starter motor barely turns.
  8. This! And also the shape of the hole means you end up trying to cut your fingers off every time you turn the black lid. Nissan only needed to make it 10mm bigger all around! Sheeeeesh!
  9. FInally able to see the dyno plots on a big screen! LOL. As a true blue GT3076 RB25 fan, much thanks to my old pal Lith , i am hugely impressed about how much this thing monsters a standard "laggy"GT in spool! I always thought my GT30 spooled relatively quickly too. Cant wait for some high quality clips inside and out of you lifting the tarmac on the open road haha. Have you ever considered a plumb back gate? Or does the external give you a too much of a damp patch?
  10. Should have subscribed to this earlier.. I smell a fish! And i bet as you typed "Who said i have done anything? :turned:" you had a cheeky grin on your face too hahaha. Look forward to the results.
  11. Porn is right! I agree its hell in your face, but the wastegate exit is in line with where the gasses exit the manifold, so not really any other option if you want the best flowpath i suppose. If i was doing it again it would be my choice. Vband off the housing and leave the stock manifold be.
  12. you won't be the last person to buy a knock off with a genuine part number. good luck however. good call if they are real but I highly highly doubt it
  13. Wheres the temp sensor located? I had mine on a sandwich plate on the oil filter on my ITR and it used to heatsoak driving on the open road and climb like that.
  14. couldnt be 100% sure but it could possibly be something to do with one of those Nismo adjustable rear mufflers? Any random buttons in the cabin that do nothing?
  15. I didnt find the DIY thread, but this guy did this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/401038-viccustom-r33-gtst-airbox-snorkel-modified-to-suit-aftermarket-cooler-kits-can-post/ cut a section out from underneath to clear it, and plastic welded it back together. I cant see it being overly difficult. Just take some time.
  16. Not really a real answer to that one. Its all in the tune. Some people break cars with >300 some people have cars for years with <300. Mine has been in the 280-300 (dyno dependant) mark for a couple of years now, and gets the living balls thrashed off it on the track. And im not totally gentle on the street when im feeling frisky.
  17. Looks good! I could be wrong, but as far as i was aware the stock fuel pressure regulator would be fine for that kind of power, could have spent it elsewhere. But i guess future proofing isnt a bad idea.. i think you'll get bored of 300kw quick I did in my GTS25t lol. But parked it up for 6 months when i moved over to Perth, had a good week in it recently and the smile was back on my face.
  18. oops. as you were. was talking about 33. Haha. forgot this was a 34 thread.
  19. Ill think you'll find that its actually on the cold pipe from factory.
  20. Yeah. I didn't re read it, but from memory I followed this tutorial when I did mine. It got messy when people started talking about 32s and GTRs.
  21. There are no power steering lines to modify on the R33. Just unbolt and unplug the HICAS, and replace it with your lock bar. And take out the globe in the cluster. Done: )
