After a few mths of deciding, i have opted to sell my r33 gtst. What i am looking for now is a STOCK R33 GTR around the 1996+ yr. Reason being i want to start from the ground up like whant i did with my current R33.

In the past i have seen a few private sale selling them for around $32-35k. Just wondering if any of you guys have seem them around that price sold privatly? Or know of any dealers who have them (willing to spend a little more). In the past i have noticed that Advance Auto Imports havehad soem quality cars sold. I wouldnt even bother with Auto JMart just totally dodge!

Im really looking for an immaculate GTR as my current gtst is very emaculate. I have seen some around for $37-40k but then come with ECU, hks cooler, 3.5inch zaust..

Thanks.

:)

I had a good look around Brisbane and there really wasn't much to look at. Well during the 6 months that I was looking around, especially in that price bracket. You definately will not find any in yards for that price they are all $40+K. In that price range make sure you really look the car over, as you are in accident repair area, unless you are lucky enough to find a good cheapie. This one is worth a look if you can get to it before he trades it in definately no accident damage here. It pretty much fits your criteria and I have driven this one myself, very nice.

Might be worth sending supahiro27 a PM I think he has one (or two) for sale at the moment.

This one may also be worth a look although it doesn't really fit your requirements.

thanks for the info jlnewton, sent the first guy a PM and email, hopefully he hasnt sold it yet.

I went to look at a 95 model lastnite (took along mu mecanic friend). The guy had it on the add for $37k and 96 model. When i got there noticed it was a 95 model. my mate then checked it all over, noticed that the front bumper had a crack, stock mags had gutter damage, head casket had a oil leak on the back of the engine ($150 to replace without labour), seats were not in good condition (very warn), and there the shaft bearing (i think thats what its called) in the gearbox was noisy. He said normally if the shaft bearing in the gearbox goes, means the gearbox could also go. Like if a throwout bearing in the clutch goes, the whole clutch is about to go also. Gear boxes go for around $3000+, so i offered him $33k for it. He rang back this morning sayin the lowest is $34k... I got a few more to look at, but at the moment that car is last on my list.

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
