Hi, got a lil problem with my Hyundai excel i just bought.

The steering is very heavy when i steer.. at the start... but once i get the car going the steering will be very smooth.......

It seems the steering has no power steering when the car isnt moving.. :| Any ideas?

Maybe the power steering oil.. i'm thinking x.x

Any advice would be great,

would make my life a hell lot easier instead of using so much energy steering LOL

are you sure it has power steering as thats the characteristics of a non power steering car and excel`s are the poverty pack. static turning is a bitch but while its moving piece of cake. check your belts and see if there is a pump at all or power steering resevoir. if it was low power steering oil it would growl

non power steering cars will have somewhat light steering when moving as well.

could be that if they have a speed sensor for the steering it's stuffed. could be low on fluid or the pump or steering rack is stuffed.
