not to be rude buddy, but is this the same car that was sold on here for 3grand? if so how come its 8grand now? what was wrong with the car before?

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/19...47#entry5427247

can this car be reg? if yes will it be done prior to purchase or its up to the new owner?

cheers

hmm...same year, same k's, same problems...yeh i'd say same car alright. usually theres nothing wrong with that but when you come to re-advertise for 5k more and u havn't really fixed anything, doesn't quite add up.

If you bought it off here for 3k why would you advertise it again for 5k more only a month or so later. Good try though. It is still a cheap car at 8k but SAU has a lot of very smart monkeys that have good memories so best not advertise it here.

Good Luck with the sale

yeah wtf thats pretty low selling it for $5k extra and you havent even done anything -.-.... do it up and sell it more i suggest? COME ON MATEY

he's moved it to adelaide and given it a wash!

thats gotta be at least $5k worth of effort in that :)

he can sell it for what ever he wants.. its still worth 8k regardless if he payed 3k... so what we should all go to car yards and say oh nah you only gave old mate johnyy 10k for this trade in... but your asking 15k!!! all they do is wash it or ship....

ahahahahahah listen to you all, if the car was so cheap why didn't you buy it...? It's business 101 its not what the cars worth its what someone happy to pay for it. You never know the persons situation or what they have done to do or get somewere. Thankyou .WILKO. you're entirely correct unfortunately the other members cannot understand this although they are VERY SMART MONKEYS. And too everyone else yes the vehicle has sold for asking ;) so thankyou too you all for helping by bumping my thread to the top CHEERS :D

    • How dare you sell your unreliable Skyline and buy a reliable, Toyota/Yamaha car with a strong gearbox, torsen LSD and Toyota reliability. At least you won't need to worry about oil pumps, big catch can, oil restrictors, blowing off power steering belts, sheering off 3rd gear, failing ABS relays/pumps, etc.
    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
