Hey Everyone,

I'm sure most of you have heard about the Sydney to Gong ride, for those of you who haven't, it’s an annual event where people get together in teams or as individuals to raise money for people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The ride commences from 2 locations either St Peter's (90km) or Engadine (58km) and ride down the beautiful coast line to one of the best places in the world…..Wollongong

MS stands for Multiple Sclerosis, a disease of the central nervous system affecting more young adult Australians than any other neurological condition. People are typically diagnosed in their twenties and thirties, with the average age of diagnosis 30. Interestingly three times more women are affected by MS than men and it is more common in cooler climates. In Australia, over 20,000 people currently have MS, however this figure is increasing as diagnosis methods become more advanced. For more information on this disease you can visit the MS society website by clicking on the MS logo below.

While some people do the ride more so for the fun of it, I am entering for the third time this year, mostly to raise money and awareness of Multiple Sclerosis (MS), as this is something that is close to my heart after my partner was diagnosed with MS mid 2007. Since then, we have been dedicating a lot of our spare time and spare cash, helping out the MS support organisations that help those with MS, including volunteering at 2007 Sydney to Gong ride event, which raised over $1.3 million and riding for the last 2 years which raised over $2 million! I have also been involved in other charity fundraisers in the last few years such as “Shave for a Cure” (which helps kids with cancer) and “Movember” (which helps with most of male health issues).

This year I will be riding the long course which is 90kms long, and hope to make it to Wollongong in one piece. As a participant in the event, and the fact that I am no speed racer by any means, my goal is to raise the most money as an individual, and possibly as a team as well as raise a lot of awareness about the disease.

To give you an idea of the numbers I am trying to achieve, To date our team has raised over $15,000 to help people with MS, This year I am hoping to increase that and raise over $30,000 Although this seems like a lot, I’d like to aim high. Unfortunately all the rider sports are now full but you can help me achieve my fundraising goal:

1 Donate to our team or me as an individual. Small individual donations will be appreciated, just as much as large corporate donations will be. You can donate online by clicking here. Don’t forget all donations are a tax deductible!

So far we have raised over $3500 as a team :P

Here is a link to my page where you can keep up to date with donations, who’s on the team and see everyone’s individual pages from our team page. I also encourage you to forward this on to everyone you know to get as much support as possible.

My partner & I, along with every other person affected by MS would really like to thank you for your time and any contribution to my team and this event, every little bit counts and we really appreciate it.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
