Hey guys,

My names Josh and got my 1st 01 m35 yesterday. All is going good but i have this little niggle. It may be nothing but i have had it on full boost then when i let my foot off the accelerator, there is this like crunch sound/ feel under my foot. It doesn't do it all the time just every now and then. Any ideas guys. Just not hoping its much.

Get under the dash and check out the condition of the throttle cable, make sure its not slightly frayed and making that sound. Also WD40 the linkages too and see if that shuts them up :D

That'd be a good start ... eliminate them as being possible problems if anything.

good advice, except M35s dont have a throttle cable

they have a potentiometer attached to the pedal. apparently early V35s had problems where this would wear out.

but like Ruby said, stick your head under there and have a listen to where its coming from

keep an eye on it. if youre backing off the throttle from hard acceleration, it might be a worn or dry bush in the front suspension that is making it happen.

Alex, you like that huh? thats its actual name. its a variable resistor :ermm:

    • Thanks MBS206, i got that PDF but got abit overhelm with all the connections and tracing of wires. I wasn't expecting to plug the dash harness anywhere. i was just going to use my electronics jumper wires to plug into the right pins like ECU power, ecu ground, ignition trigger etc... I do have a few ratchet straps locking it down tight. Fire extinguisher ready and only a small amount of fuel at a time, enough to submerge the pump.
    • Thanks GTSBoy, i will do abit more digging. I am missing a blue relay near the ECU connector... so i will chase that up in the next few days as well
