Hi everyone,

I have just purchased a brand new Arctic white 2010 Nissan Dualis Ti, and thinking of doing basic mods like bigger wheels and lip/bodykit.

My questions are:

(1). Stock wheels are 18-inch alloy215/55R18. I am thinking of putting on 20 inch plus wheels in the future.

What would be a perfect size for it (Width, offsets)?

(2). Is there any types of lip/bodykit available on the market for 2010 Nissan Dualis? I know there is one for prior 2010 models.

(3). If I am to go with custom lip/bodykit, how do I start off?

Is having photos of similar design better, or can I just talk to the fabricator and get the design right?

I am from Perth and if there's any place (For wheels or lip/bodykit) in Perth, please let me know. I do have a preferred fabricator, but I just want to know the options.

Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,

Would anyone know if the wheel size of front 18x8 +32 (225/45/18) and rear 18x9 +35 (235/40/18) fit on my Nissan Dualis with stock wheel size of Front and rear 18x6.5 +0 (215/55/18)?

Thanks in advance.

Hi mate,

To be honest, I am not too sure. I thought all stock wheels come in +0 offsets, but I will check with the dealers on this as I can't find any info online.

Thanks for the link too.

lol no.

and a lip kit (i think) would look shocking...

new cars dont NEED bodykits... get some lowering springs and you'll look a hell of a lot better than some lame plastic bodykit...

as for wheels - don't be a sissy!

get THESE.

Thanks Rowan.

Those 19 inch Oltega VIP stylez rims (Front 19x9 +8, rear 19x10 +0) with rash on all 4 rims, faded centre caps and stuffed tires really worth $2650? That seems pretty expensive for me.

They do look good by the way. ;)

Haha yeah bit of a shame, easy fix though... And talk to aaron about price!! But yeah.. If I may be so bold I reckon be like me and get work schwert ;) they are a versatile styled wheel... Either that or some work emotions :) but as I said.. I'm not a fan of body kits on modern cars.. They don't need them and these days generally cars are sportier styled from factory ... You can always colour code your bumpers though!!

Yeah, I was actually thinking about colour coding the underneath part of the bumpers.

Thanks for that idea, Rowan.

=)

i'm getting some chroming work (not really... but chrome-ish work) done this week..

you'll see pics once it's done! :)

so there's another idea - chrome your side skirts..

in the interim..

BUY THESE FROM JAPAN!!!!!!

nice and bold yet conservative offsets and widths ;)

Do you mean chroming work done on you Soarer? It should be interesting. :)

By the way, Soarer (& 300ZX) is one of my favourite car when I was young. I like twin-turbo automatic models and would put on Vertex bodykit on pearl white color and gold rims. But I didn't end up getting one here in Perth because there were heaps of them back in my country (Burma). So I chose V35 and drive something different.

haha - it's a chrome sticker, soooooo

think vinyl graphics but not as crappy

it actually has a layer of metal there...

but yeah - it will be "like" pinstriping i guess.. mine is a series 3 single turbo model - i guess that's what i like about the soarer..

is that for every "good one" that you see.. you'll see about 20 other crap ones that should be burned :P

mine has T's project bodykit.. and work wheels - so it's a snob's soarer :P

Ok, that should look awesome. I look forward to seeing the outcome.

Your Soarer looks really outstanding too.

Hi everyone,

I finally got my Nissan Dualis last night.

I love it. Now, I can go anywhere, park anywhere and take my whole family with me.

Will post up photos during the weekends. Hopefully, the modifications start next year!

if i may ask out of curiosity - what was it that made you want a dualis??

Hi Rowan,

The main reasons I ended up getting 2010 Nissan Dualis Ti are:

(1). I would need another car very soon as my work site is moving away from my house (Currently until the new year, my work site is 5 minutes from my house so I can catch the bus).

(2). Me and my Mrs decided to get a brand new car, preferably a 4WD, as we already have Mitsubishi Mirage and Nissan Skyline V35 coupe.

(3). Our 1st choice is to get a Nissan (No apparent reason :P). So we looked at Dualis, X-Trail, Murano and Navara. Then, price, fuel consumption and maintenance costs played the part as others were more expensive than Dualis.

So we decided to save that amount and get the top of the range one.

All in all, we now have a car that can be park and go anywhere with the whole family, stylish/cheap to run and still a "Nissan".

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
