Help Pleeeasseee !check Engine Light Appears At Times But I Have An Error Code 55

Hey guys , so heres the scenario, i just got my r34 gt around a month ago, 2 days ago the check engine light turned on and i automatically thought crap.. my coil packs are gone , but i did a bit of research on the skylines forums and found out you can diagnose the car by placing a bridging the ECU with a pin and reading the number of flashes that the engine light shows, so i did that and it read 55. So now i am a bit confused as per what the problem is. The check engine light comes on sometimes at the beginning of the journey , sometimes 15 minutes in and sometimes not at all. Also does any one actually know if bridging the ecu gives us a valid result ?
