hi all im josh

im a apprentice boiler maker but my real passion is rb's ...

my previuos car was a mitsubishi legnum vr4 s2, sad thing was it was automatic so typically being a mitsubishi gearbox it blew up and i had the car of the road for 8 months trying to find parts and a mechanic to work on it .... so once that was fixed i pissed it of and bort my 1992 nissan r32 gtst.

when i bort it it was stock as a f**kn rock , it came with a 32 gtr bonnet grill and spoiler and a crappy 3 inch exhaust wichh was tooo quite.. (dnt no if its a ltd edition or someone in jap land put these parts on)

the car was a fresh import and only had 70,000 on the clock so i thort sweet i wana bomb this .

i drove around for a year and only did minor mods like a 25 turbo, boost tap and cut resonators out ov the exhaust and put a dyno cat conv on . (maximum flames).

the condition of the motor started going up shit creek , the water pump was leaking oil pressure droped exhaust manifold bolts snapped of and troubles started evrywere.

then i lost my liscense so it was time to pull the motor out .

i kept the rb 20 coz for some reason i think there friken awsome . evryone said get a 25 but i wana build somthing that not many people do and prove that u CAN make a 20det give chop

so far iv done a fair bit of work and spent alot ov time cleaning it, painting the block and heaps more.

iv spent alot of money buying parts..

iv decided to just do the bolt ons and top end (due to cash flow) but in the future i want to forge the bottom end

so heres some photos .

    • Yes, I had ordered the spherical bushings at the same time as the rest. I have high hopes for the anti squat reduction kit.
    • Make sure you use the spherical bushes** on the lower arms, ifyou do that. ** at least, if not the whole replacement lower arm.
    • The tap for coolant flow control will be stuck open. It's not just the air door motor that dies.
    • Not really, but the heater box is pretty simple mechanically....if the door is one way the air bypasses the heater core and if it is the other way it goes through it for warm air.  If you are sure the actuator you moved manually is for the heater mix (there would also be one for output air direction) then I'd take the heater box out and see what is happening (you'll have to regass and re-coolant the systems afterwards) BTW pp724 onwards from the GTR workshop manual cover the system in good detail, it is probably worth checking. I think the IAT sensor might be a problem electrically for getting cold (if you got 24 error code not -24 it thinks the incoming air is -50c) and it covers how to test the sensor (although most likely it is either not plugged in or a wire is damaged)
