l thought it may be race pace from the comments you posted that is why l asked. If you are not happy get a second opinion.

How could you say it was racepace???

no heart feeling towards them, they are awesome bunch of guys....

might speak to them again i guess....

Safe tune, safe boost level - all on a stock motor with stock parts. I don't really see what the issue is here... :ermm:

290rwkw = normal for all of the above. Look @ the before/after graphs though. It's not just about peak power dude.

If you wanna chase power (maybe 30rwkw if you are lucky)...

Injectors - 700

AFM - 700

Pump - 400

Cam gears - 300 (if you dont have already)

Then there is tuning costs for all the new parts and so on. So spend $2500 more for the bit of power, or be happy as is mate.

You'll then make around 300-320rwkw on 20-22psi but it's a question of reliability mate. If you cannot afford the rebuild (8-10k) then don't chase the power.

I think its quite resonable and safe if you are on a budget. Also there is no risk of the turbos shitting a wheel and destroying your motor.

Oh and side point, don't worry about anything bodge has to say - he is just a serial sook that complains about his set-up in every thread that mentions Racepace, yet won't actually get looked at. He'd rather just complain for 12 months about it

Now that sounds better...atleast that gives me confidence that my car is fine...

i might do the above upgrades as you mentioned to get upto 300-320kW....

I am not too keen to open up the motor yet as everything seems to be fine so far with the motor....i've been told that opening up the motor can cause problems as well in future (comments from normal mechanic, not skyline mechanic)

so, without opening the motor, i can still chase upto 320Kw...thats impressing now and very temptating :glare:

I guess BODGE is well known here on SAU

You can chase more power - however i would honestly advise against it.

Seems you missed my point in the above, ill try again :)

R33 motors are getting old now like R32 ones - ~15yrs.

If you do not have the budget nor want to rebuild - do not chase that extra 20-30rwkw. Be happy where it is regardless of how tempting it might sound.

Its when you want that "extra 10-20" that shit will go wrong.

fair enough

ill probably rebuild soon, but not anytime soon yet thou...

thanks for the info mate, now it all makes more sense to me...

*just curious : Are you from racepace too?

Np dude, i'd hate to see you end up with a broken motor and then in the pooper money wise.

Seen it happen to a few forum users & club members over the years and its unfortunate :(

Nope. I just get some of my work done there depending on what i need :)

Really appreciate your advise mate....Thanks heaps again :)

The previous figures was on the same dyno as well....

I was thinking of getting an opinion for another tuner....

i was been told that if i had smaller wheels, i could get upto 300kW ???

depends on the size of wheels.

wheel size / tyre choice can play a big part of the number that shows up on the dyno.

semii slicks and even soft cheap tyres will show a lower power figure on the dyno.

ive seen cars make different power on different tyres on back to back dyno runs, with wheel swaps inbetween runs.

thats my 2 cents worth.

on a std engine i would stick to safe power as like ash said, std 33 gtr motors are around 12 - 15 years old now.

    • Ok thanks..that was my second question if i can somehow bypass this even with Nistune(that is all i have right now...aparat from stock ECU. So with some aftemarket it can by "bypassed" or make it work?  I know there is Link or Haltech (mainly used). We have ECUmaster here so i will gather some info about it.
    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
