You would be correct sir. I have a detailing spray to use with the clay bar

Lubricant spray for clay bar? Sawft! Mix some car wash and water in a spray bottle and that will do. . Just needs to be a slippery solution.

Did I ever end up showing you the dents in my bonnet?I dare say that I'm gonna have to get the whole bonnet fixed and resprayed at some stage...it doesn't look like it from a distance but it has at least 5 decent hail stone dents in it and some pretty bad stone chips on the leading edge above the grill =/

Yeh it's a type of polishing compound with a wax mixed in...may as well polish/wax it while you're scrubbing away

Clay strips off all wax and polish. You're essentially waxing and then ripping the wax straight off. Clay takes it back to pure paint.

that's the way we do it at work. The detailing spray came as part of the clay bar kit I purchased, otherwise I would be using car wash
