GT-R-sourced twin-turbo V6 for AWD rally wagon

There are high-powered SUVs – Porsche's Cayenne Turbo, Audi's Q7 V12 and Subaru's Forester S-Edition, a collective nod your way – and there are more hardcore versions, such as Romanian brand Dacia's "No Limit" rally car.

Based on the Renault-owned brand's Duster SUV, the one-off rally SUV has been built to compete in this year's Pikes Peak hill climb in the US.

It's powered by a modified version of Nissan's 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 engine (as seen in the GT-R) which has been tuned to produce a mammoth 634kW of power and 900Nm of torque – close to twice the output of a GT-R (390kW/612Nm).

The engine is mated to a six-speed sequential transmission which has been specifically developed to handle the huge amounts of power being sent through it to the wheels.

The body features significant modifications, including a massive rear spoiler, modified roof turret, flared wheel arches and an aggressive, fat-lipped lower bumper extension. The skin of the No Limit Duster has been created using fibre-glass in order to keep the weight low.
