HI Guys im looking at ordering a kent style kit from www.bodykitskingdom.com.au and i have been told by the owner that it is a direct bolt on with no mods needed to the kit. Does anyone have any experence with this kit and able to confirm that this is correct, i dont want this to end up in a $3000 blow out if its not a direct bolt on.

No replica body kits will be direct bolt-on. You should invest more on a reputable professional shop to fit and paint the body kit, then you should be fine.

They are about the same price as Carmate, so I am guessing they are pretty similar in terms of quality.

Good luck.

Do you think i should just replace the front bar and leave the stock skirts and rear? im also going to drop it on BC coils The KS kit on carmate is like $500 more then body kits kingdom

Definitely not! They won't match anymore. Better off with a full kit.

If you want to drop it really low and worry about scrapping alot, just get a lip kit.

I have lots of scrapes and stone chips over the front bar so it needs a respray and it looks like someone has brushed the back bar there is some fine scratches like a metal brush has been used to clean it just under the skylune lable on the back bar so i need to have resprays done to clean it up so i figured the kit would be a good idea, are you able to point me to any good kit sellers that have direct bolt ons?

PS

The scrapes where not my fault, there when i bought it and i had a truck run over a hub cap crush it and spray it out over my car on the F3 (i was mad)

Try HK Top Racing.

Kareem (_L8RSXY_) ordered his genuine Kenstyle full body kit from there. It costed him about AU$5500 4-5 years ago. It should be cheaper now.

:( could not find anything in there product range for the V even tried under infiniti.

I think i might just have to suck it up and take the splash with this kit for $850 bucks, i can test fit front bumper and skirts ezy enough myself its the rear bar im worried about, im gona try to get a money back deal if it does not fit directly.

Im going to go ahead the the kit, Paul from bodykits kingdom has said he will refund me if its not up to scratch, ill post pics once it arives so everyone can see the quality if anyone else is interested in there kits, if i can ill also film removing the bumpers when i test fit the kit (it could be a bit sketchy got m8ts coming around with booze for this :D)

Much needed to get fitment right?

I got a vented bonnet of Paul and it fit perfect ! (once i had sanded the edges and the D bar that locks the bonnet down was too small so i had to file the FRP around it so it could lock down) but looks great. You do need to do a fair bit of prep before painting as there are pin holes and areas that need scraping out and filling and then re-prime and your good to go!

The front and rear was great nothing needed to be done went right on, the skirts didnt fit at all, he was as suprised as me i think that they where a bad set that i got the brackets where they attach to the car seem to be bend and out of shape i think it was pulled from the mould and bent or something like that, he has offerd a swap or my money back so fingers crossed its just a bad set and i can get the skirts on soon to.

i was looking at getting the carbon vented hood from paul, you think it will have the same issues?

I got the FRP one.

Apart from the D-shackle being too short (you can measure yours and email him and ask for the CF measurement) and see what he says.

The vent angles were not 100% perfect so i did some sanding, just ask for photos of the vents and see the angles.

Not sure if CF has same problem as FRP but it had pin holes and areas that needed filling.. If not then as long as the D-shackle thing is right size it will fit perfect, and if you happy with the vent angles then you will be very happy!!! Ill post some pics once its painted.

Thats just the thing i dont want to paint it i want to leave it carbon fiber on the silver, street cred yo lol. So if it needs to be filled and sanded then its no good to me :S ill just take a look at it, im going to QLD in october for a holiday and taking the skirts up with me ill get Paul to take a look at em and ill check out the hood while im there

Oh CF is fine, no sanding, you just gotta hope it fits perfect. maybe a little cutting but its cleared so you cant sand it.

    • ok so if i wanted to go 18's i would go for 8's  in front 30+ or 32+ off set at front and the back 9 would be ok? what offset should i aim for.. then can i do some  hunting for wheel rim choices..    If i get this - will this fit all around: Size: 18 x 8.5 +37 - n what tyres size tyre should i get for front n back?
    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
