Hi guys

Just picked up a 32 gtr vspec 2 from another member on the forum.

Previous ride was an s13 so its similar but different. was looking to get an s15 but after looking at a few and finding pretty poor examples i stumbled across this gtr.

So far i have only driven it for under an hour and i gotta say it pulls wayyyyy better than the silvia, although i do feel the extra weight when throwing it around (+300kg I think) and the extra lag....

Plans:

  • learn the power fc
  • learn how to drive 4wd (gotta say i really do love rwd tail out happy times)
  • install boost gauge and maybe water temp gauge
  • bleed the brakes (kinda spongey)
  • adjust the pedal positions (had them set up on my silvia so i coudl heel toe pretty well)
  • carbon front lip
  • get stock front camber arms (currently fitted with fixed 4 degree ones....this is kinda going to be my daily)
  • TRACK IT!!!!

yeah lyndons old car.... will be interested to see your new 34 when you get it lyndon.

not big plans to change the car at this point. it seems very well rounded. Although would like some rims with more agressive offset. saw a set of ce28's at jpc which are quite appealing.....but ill have to see how i go for cash hahaha

i am having heaps of trouble getting it moving from a standstill tho, my stall count is in double digits now....

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
