I may be in doubt of making it on time, old friend that i went to school with now lives down there, and they want to catch up on the sunday.

ofcourse i'm going to try and make it over there on time. but just incase i dont show :)

Sure, Nath. No worries.

I am doing food shopping for BBQ on Saturday, so if you can confirm, that will be great. If not, it's no big deal too.

Hope to see you there.

hey looks like there might be a few showers this week end.....is the BBQ still possible???

Yeah, that's what worry me as well. :(

I can't do anything about the weather, but there's a undercover area that can accomodate 4-5 people. That still is not good enough to enjoy the day.

Worse case scenario if it's raining heavily in Logan area, I will update it. The event can be cancel if it rain heavily.

Fingers crossed the weather will favour us. :)

Some of the V-series owners from WA work on Saturday including myself for a while. I think that's why most events are held on Sunday.

I take it some of us from QLD also work on Saturday. As time goes on, we will get a better idea of who can and can't come on Saturday or Sunday. Obviously, not all can come anyway on either day.

i reckon no matter what shitty weather it is...even if it is just 8cars....lets me...take some snaps...and get this going for a start......

Are you into photography? That will be very helpful in the events. Back in WA, my younger brother took almost all photos for the events.

Ill make it. Cobey cant he is working.

Great, Nate.

Thanks for replying for Cobey as well. I did send Cobey a PM on Facebook but didn't get a reply. He must have been busy for the last few weeks.

i am in!!

Thanks for the reply, Rick. Shall see you there. :)

like to get into photography......havent really been doing it....i reckon its time to get that starting with our greet and meet stuff....

Took a drive there today to check out the place...I will definately make it unless it rains heavily...

Might bring the kids and camera too :)

Oh really? What you think of the place? It's abit of a drive into the area. Other than that, I think it's a good place, and will be better when road/park works finish.

I live like 2 minutes away from it. Worst case if it's rain heavily, me and my wife will invite whoever come into our home. I just checked the weather and it said possible early shower. So hopefully it will be all good in the evening.

Pending if i can be bother putting coilovers back in that weekend and wheels after i've cleared my defect. lol

Sure, mate. Thanks for the update.

Even if you haven't done so and feel like meeting us, you are welcome to do so too. I myself haven't got my V35 yet because of busy schedule with CEVA transport. If I don't get it tomorrow, I won't have it on coming Sunday. It's just meet-and-greet, so come meet and greet your fellow V-series owners. :)

It would also help when we have the next event, where most of us would have known each other more.

Yea it's a bit of a drive, nice place but no real car park except for side of the road. But I think I spotted a small open area where we can possibly gather to get a group photoshoot happening. 30Five, u can catch a lift with me if u like, just send me a PM

Yeah, no lines marked for that parking. As long as we park close to side of the street, it will be fine. I have seen cars parked there before.

Is that open car park close from BBQ place? If you know that place well, we can check it out if others want to.

Ha, now you are the rain man, Nath. :P

Well, seriously hoping not raining at meet time. Back in WA, we did get bad weather report collided with cruises but most of the time, it's ok. It's August, so not much chance of showers like in June or July. Will check weather again tomorrow.

Ha, now you are the rain man, Nath. :P

*Raises hand* my bad

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
