Guys, I just blew 1 of my tyre and need a replacement. Just wanna check if anyone wants to share the freight (around 250-270USD for 3 decent sized tyres). I am looking at placing an order by Thursday (depends on when I get the quote etc) and hopefully by mid of next week the tyres should be here (normally takes 5working days). The cost of my tyre is 330USD and for us to not get hit by import duty, the total purchase price MUST be below 1000AUD (excluding freight). I've checked on that before on the custom website. Its only when you do get hit by duty, the freight and misc. cost will be taken into account for calculation of import duty and GST. My previous 2 purchase from them were both 900+ AUD excluding freight. This is with the cost etc declared too. If I was wrong, I would be very lucky to not get taxed then.

VoTI is not the same as Customs Value.
