ok guys, after searching pretty much all over the net i cannot find for the life of me a decent site apart from the gran turismo site that people have their best lap times.

not only that but the world records are only a sec apart between 1 and 50 and they are all using a wheel, i use a controller.

i dont have my info in front of me but if you are interested, fill in the following.

i think we should keep this interesting and have the following times with:

all aids off except abs on 1

and track grip on real

i always race ss tyres but whatever your times are post

track:

best lap:

controller:

maybe we can have an sau best lap times. i think if it does get some interest we keep it to ss tyres though

ill post up my times later in the day

forgot to mention, all the cars above are tuned to MAX

Edited by M.C Ren

It would be good to do a Tsukuba "time attack" comparison using stock based road cars like GTR's/RX7's/EVO's etc. tuned to within an inch of their life just like the real event.

My bests are with a controller no assists, with best parts/setups possible:

- R32 GTR 53.6s

- RX7 54.2s

More tuning might get them going around even quicker!

I'm Confused.

Aren't there leaderboards or something with all the assists listed?

*hugs Forza leaderboards with every single time, assists used and ghost to d/l to race against*

yes there are but as he mentioned, the top bazzilion times for each track are all in the same car and within less than a second of each other. far too many crazy bastards out there with far too much time.

this is a good idea for some realistic human type times. i have only and will only play with a Wheel, but it will be good to see the general comparison, will post some times next time i get on and actually have a look.

^^êxactly ^^ as for playing with a wheel, i would only play with it too if i had one, im living overseas at the moment so its enough karting my ps3 around, no way i could bring a wheel, but post up your times anyway,

ill have a crack at tsakuba, my times will generally be fully tuned examples on sports soft tyres with abs 1 as the only assist, grip is set to real also,

smithy85

not sure what tyres you where using but after reading your post im guessing racing soft. i was trying to compete on ss tyres and i had no chance hehe

your r32 gtr time is pretty good, my gtr time might have a sec in it as it was a little hard to turn in, its perfectly se up for bigger tacks so i dont want to mess around with it just to lap tsakuba.

tsakuba isnt a track i really play as i thought it wasnt that technical, but after giving it a proper shot i realise you have to be pretty precise to reel off a good time.

anyway, i took a few cars for a spin, both with sports soft and racing soft

Owgasm, post some times up of your best laps for other cars too. I wouldn't mind buying a few different cars myself.

I'll give the vettel a shot on Suzuka, but I find it very hard to get a clean and fast time on the ds3 controller. I'll see how I go

By the way fellas, times must be clean White times, if the time goes red for crashing ect, its not valid

cranked out a few more times, tried the red bull x on sazuka and kept getting a red time, got frustrated but ill try again another day

Bunta, what do you mean with one of everything? As in aids?

I reckon we keep it to

1 abs

Grip set to real

And tyres of your choice

More skill is involved

What do you guys think?

I dont have any aids on :)

I meant one of everything as in the best of all the parts you can buy for the car. I think tyres should be kept to sprts tyres jusr like the superlap even run there!

    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
    • Hi All, putting the engine back together and everything is perfect except have this plug left over.. any ideas what it is for and where it goes? Is on cold side under the intake plenum *note not a stock plug, as everything has been modified Cheers
