Help: 2 Small Pin/dowels Left Over... After Waterpump/intake Rebuild

Recommended Posts

R32 GTR

I have just about finished assembly and have two small dowels left over! >ah crap<

Been following workshop manual and Nissan Fast diagrams.

They are the same size as the two that hold the throttle bar on top of hte collector/plenum. They are shorter than the ones the go between the throttle bodies and the plenum.

I originally took the water pump off, and ended up disassembling the entire intake side down to the block - had some leaking gaskets and dodgy water hoses. Even took thermostat off.

if anyone knows where these two suckers go please let me know. I dont want to undo everything to find out.

Thanks

John

    • This is aem disk setting in aem tuner and still 180 dgree off or ignition on exhaust cycle is it from cas it self as cas seems wouldn’t fit in cam shaft if wrong position and wiring been verified any ideas
    • Oh yeah that would work excellent. Should be the same diff housing & everything. Shoot me a text or call me 260-750-2246 -Cody
    • Oh right, I didn't realise it was your car. Please do! Makes me feel better about mine. I also have a big scrape on the front left bumper where someone presumably used the wall to guide the car into a parking spot  But somehow all the funds go towards mechanical things and the cosmetics stay forever unfinished... Interesting, I don't think I have seen it before. But after seeing @PranK's rusty roofline on the BMW I'd probably leave it alone. Wouldn't want water to get in there.
    • Thanks mate, thought you might know the answer.
    • Infiniti US are teasing a manual Q50 as a way to refresh a (very old) model. https://torquecafe.com/manual-performance-sedans-arent-dead-yet/ Can't be too technically difficult given the Z has the same motor with a manual gearbox......here's hoping there is a JDM version we can import here, that would save me a world of headaches
