Thanks man, but yeah I kinda figured that out a few months ago with the help of other guys on this forum.

Basically convinced that it's a 92 as well. This thread just won't let me go back and change the info on the front page anymore...

I wish i had AWD that would be interesting.. Good luck on getting your car done, do you have a build thread?

SO finally I got my rims back from wheelflip yesterday and got my car back on the road

So after a month and a half of her being down i stayed up all night and got to get her running again!

I tell you there is nothing like the sound of a RB starting for the first time, especially when it's yours!

Basically what I did when she was down:

Cleared the sheered off exhuast head bolts

New ARP exhaust head bolts

New SS Braided Brake lines

New SS Bradied turbo lines

New Energy suspension bushings

New Gasket kit

New down pipe

Sealed and check all exhaust and vacum leaks

Cleaned everything!

Installed New A/C system

Cleaned IVAC

Checked and rewired engine plugs

New battery terminals

Grounded the engine and ignitor

Sea Foam Engine Prior to New spark plugs, OIL Filter, Fuel Filter, etc...

And basically just clean alot of old dirt and oil out of her...

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things. oh well...

Basically spent alot of cash on parts just to refresh her and took time just to get her perfectly running again

I want her to be around for a long time

And even though I have another engine going in her I still have plans for this one

So now I'm taking the day to just see what else I need to get done and take the weekend to enjoy her

Money is alittle tight this month so I need to still get tires for the other set of 350z wheels.

Well back to work...

#Jswljones#Jswljones

Ok so interesting day today, might be getting the engine early!
I'm talking to my guys about that and designing the plan as we speak so more on that later...

And in other news talked to my buddy ray at the Nismo Shop and they still don't haven't heard anything yet on if they can get parts for my car from japan, he's putting another call in for me so hopefully i can get the windows fixed atleast!!

Another buddy of mine came by for me to test fit his rims!
They are some VIP classic Leon hardiritt ordens wheels with polished lips machines faces.

Here are the specs:
Front 20/10.5 +2, 3 1/2 lip
Rear 20/12.5 +2, 5 1/2 lip

I loved them! And they sorta fit... I would have to do major body work and it's not really out of my range but it's also something i really have to think if i want to do again. It took me a year and a half to get the Supra widebody right.

I really want these though so i gotta do some homework...

well see...

anyway to the rest of the day..
I filled the missing section of the bumper which took about another 4 hours, mostly drying time for the fiberglass and bondo/ paint.

First I started by making a plug to hold the fiberglass. I did this by making a template of the shape of the lip then transfered it to a piece of florist foam that i picked up form a 99 cent store around me. Walmart has this stuff also.
Take your time with this but remember this dosen't have to be perfect.

540232_10151097830934236_1007499376_n.jp

Then i cut out fiberglass sheet to approximate size and layed out everything before i started. I also identified weak and cracked spots around the bumper to repair and cut smaller pieces for them.
I them coated the fiberglass lip with resin first and them layed the fiberglass cloth down. then i inserted the plug and continued to coat the fiberglass.

384633_10151097831384236_534601665_n.jpg

Then I let everything dry for a bit and sanded and bondoed everything down till it was nice and smooth. After that just sprayed it black to cover and protect everything. I did leave the bottom metal bracing though just because it added strength and it wasn't noticeable.

I have suspension planned for tomorrow then brake and some other upgrades for the rest of the week!

Hi What is the brand naame of the front Caliper Spacers to take 320 discs and were did ya get them and how much dosh. Thanks Jamind

PM'd you with the answer but for everyone else that might be interested the version that I like is this one : http://www.ebay.com/itm/S13-S14-BRAKE-ADAPTER-UPGRADE-300ZX-Z32-30MM-CALIPER-WITH-12-75-350Z-ROTOR-/271195434777?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f2481ef19&vxp=mtr

Not sure if they are the exact same ones but the look almost the same.

I got my set up from Zilvia from another memeber hense why I ended up with 2 different set to try.

You can read the DIY here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/423144-350z-g35-track-brembo-rotor-adapter-install-on-a31-cefiro/

The 2 types work the same just basically comes down to where you like the caliper to sit depending on the look your going for.

I actually have the second type still if anyone wants to buy them.

Feel free to ask any questions, I'm more than happy to help.

My fuel & air upgrade, all this for $100...

Z32 MAF and Remaned 650cc A46-00/ JEGS Injectors

A little Birthday present to myself...

But sadly the injectors might have to go back considering the guy never sent the flow sheet and these are supposed to be reman 650cc units that I've never seen before...

They all seem to be in brand new condition and look great but still the fact I got them so cheap and the tips aren't what normal units look like I don't want to pay to get them flow tested just to find out that they are 270's and be SOL...

I'm not risking my engine no matter how good the deal is...

Anyone ever see these type of tips before??

I've only seen injectors with 4 holes that are OEM re-drilled...

well we'll see...

Oh yeah I also might have found a temp fix for my exhaust leak issue on my heap, gonna try it out this weekend so we'll see how that goes...

maybe I'll get to drive while the 26 is getting shipped over

UPDATE!!!!!! SWEET! The guy basically said sorry dosen't have the flow sheet as listed and refunded my money, told me to keep the injectors!!!!

I basically got them for free!!!!!

I'm just going to send them in and get them flow tested myself!

AWESOME!!!!

OK so a f**king miracle has happend... I fixed the exhaust leak in the RB25....

It was the most ghetto fix but it worked! LOL!!!!!

I pretty much said f**k it last night and did a hell mary fix with some exhaust putty weld and a new gasket.

I placed some on the inner ring, surrounded it with ATV gasket seal then sandwiched it together...

Waited 24hrs for it to set and it worked!!!!!!

... I basically thought of this bacause I know i'm going to either have to buy a new head or get those other broken studs drilled out anyway so why not right...

If I can drive my car while the other engine rb26 is being prepped it would buy me some time...

Well it f**ken worked! I can't believe it...

Also I've used this stuff before on a friends car that we were selling and it's basically like JB weld. It can be sanded or peeled off... just look for reviews and the cheapest stuff you can find...

Here is a pic of how she was tonight! and a video!

She was leaning out before max boost! LOL! I need a tune and to put in bigger injectors now... :P

Not going to but she needs it.. I have them... we'll see... I might get bored... .... .... maybe .... LOL!

I custom made a tip for My bike which is basically just a tip right after the servo buterfly for the factory motor which i disabled also but I think I'm going to turn it into a manual EVC so when I want to I can quiet the bike down like when I come home and open her up on the freeway.
But it's loud and sounds like a true MOTOGP bike!

I love it!

Well I'm beat, Hope you guys like it.

Just cause I haven't updated in a while...

Been actually busy with work and waiting on goodies from JDMland...

Also since she is working right now I kinda don't want to mess with her...

So here is a pic that got taken from a local meet... First time I ever took here anywhere...

People were kinda surprised around here to see her, well the people that knew what she was... HAHA!

Yes that a is a GZ20 Toyota Soarer TT with a 1G-GTE
I used to own one back a few years ago, I miss my car and it was nice to see one again.
Very rare here in the US, when I owned mine there were only 4 that I knew of in the whole country and this one is the very first that has been legalized fully not just in the state but for the country!
And side note, if you can get a car legalized in the state of California it is then legal for the country because we have the strictest laws here.
FML I know....
As for what happened to my car?
it was totaled in a car accident in 2007, rear-ended in LA traffic while I was stopped... thats right going 0 mph... truck ran right into me...
I would have never sold mine...
The owner used to work at Toyota in Japan and with TRD.
Really nice guy and had some great stories. Great day!
But I did get a new toy to play with while I wait for the engine parts.

Gotta say I have to change my whole suspension set up again with this set up but the new tires feel great!
Alot more comfortable driving but alot harder to get loose so more playing...
Well see what happens but as for this weekend all eyes are on FD Irwindale this weekend so that will be fun...

Found a few pix of my old GZ20... I miss my old baby... RIP...

can you believe that the insurance company tried to give me only $300 for her at first!

I ended up with $15k for her but damn man... I still rather have had my car!

    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
    • Place the new daughterboard in the case and mount it using the 3 small black rivets provided, and reconnect the 3 factory ribbon cables to the new board Then, use the 3 piggyback cables from the daughterboard into the factory board on top (there are stand offs in the case to keep them apart. and remember to reconnect the antenna and rear cover fan wires. 1 screw to hold the motherboard in place. Before closing the case, make a hole in the sticker covering a hole in the case and run the cable for the android unit into the plug there. The video forgot this step, so did I, so will you probably. Then redo the 4 screws on back, 2 each top and bottom, 3 each side and put the 2 brackets back on.....all ready to go and not that tricky really.
    • Onto the android unit. You need to remove the top screen because there is a daughterboard to put inside the case. Each side vent pops out from clips; start at the bottom and carefully remove upwards (use a trim remover tool to avoid breaking anything). Then the lower screen and controls come out, 4 screws, a couple of clips (including 3 flimsy ones at the top) and 3 plugs on the rear. Then the upper screen, 4 screws and a bunch of plugs and she is out. From there, remove the mounting brackets (2 screws each), 4 screws on the rear, 2 screws top and bottom and 3 screws holding in the small plates on each side. When you remove the back cover (tight fit), watch out for the power cable for the fan, I removed it so I could put the back aside. The mainboard is held in by 1 screw in the middle, 1 aerial at the top and 3 ribbon cables. If you've ever done any laptop stuff the ribbon cables are OK to work with, just pop up the retainer and they slide out. If you are not familiar just grab a 12 year old from an iphone factory, they will know how it works The case should now look like this:
    • Switching the console was tricky. First there were 6 screws to remove, and also the little adapter loom and its screws had to come out. Also don't forget to remove the 2 screws holding the central locking receiver. Then there are 4 clips on either side....these were very tight in this case and needed careful persuading with a long flat screw driver....some force required but not enough to break them...this was probably the fiddliest part of the whole job. In my case I needed both the wiring loom and the central locking receiver module to swap across to the new one. That was it for the console, so "assembly is the reverse of disassembly"
    • But first....while I was there, I also swapped across the centre console box for the other style where the AV inputs don't intrude into the (very limited !) space.  Part# was 96926-4GA0A, 284H3-4GA0B, 284H3-4GA0A. (I've already swapped the top 12v socket for a USB bulkhead in this pic, it fit the hole without modification:) Comparison of the 2: Basically to do the console you need to remove the DS and PS side console trim (they slide up and back, held in by clips only) Then remove the back half of the console top trim with the cupholders, pops up, all clips again but be careful at the front as it is pretty flimsy. Then slide the shifter boot down, remove the spring clip, loose it forever somewhere in the car the pull the shift knob off. Remove the tiny plastic piece on DS near "P" and use something thin and long (most screwdrivers won't fit) to push down the interlock and put the shifter down in D for space. There is one screw at the front, then the shifter surround and ashtray lift up. There are 3 or 4 plugs underneath and it is off. Next is the rear cover of the centre console; you need to open the console lid, pop off the trim covering the lid hinge and undo the 2rd screw from the driver's side (the rest all need to come out later so you can do them all now and remove the lid) Then the rear cover unclips (6 clips), start at the top with a trim tool pulling backwards. Once it is off there are 2 screws facing rearwards to remove (need a short phillips for these) and you are done with the rear of the console. There are 4 plugs at the A/V box to unclip Then there are 2 screws at the front of the console, and 2 clips (pull up and back) and the console will come out.
