Has anyone on here used a ts2b clutch before?!? To suit push type 32 GTR-33 GTST?!?!

I have 3 carriers to go with the clutch. A 20mm, 12mm(haven't measured this one) and an 8mm!

We've put the clutch on and used the 20mm carrier but its compressing the diaphragm springs as the box is going back on!!

20mm carrier was what was listed to be used with this clutch!

Can anyone tell me what they've used or post up a picture or something. Maybe some accurate measurements!

Heres a picture of the 20mm and 8mm carriers

Where are you taking the measurement from (20/8mm)?

The one on the left looks like the short one. You need to use that carrier but it looks like you have the wrong bearing on it. The OS Giken uses a small diameter throw out bearing. Not the standard one

hey mate,

sorry yeah the one on the left was the 8mm carrier and the right the 20mm carrier. and i have one that has come out of the car thats about 12mm, i didnt get the chance to measure it and it still at the car at the place we were working on it. ill get correct measurements when i get back to the car!!

taking the measurements from the release fork pad to the back of the bearing.

the one on the right, the 20mm carrier, is what i was told i needed to use with this clutch. the bearing on the 8mm carrier isnt what im using, i tool the clutch to a clutch place and got the correct bearing to suit the clutch.

i just edited an image for this purpose but. i measure my carrier like "A#" in the diagram, unless its a total sleeve length or measurement "B#" is where i need to get the 20mm from?!

thanks mate! cheers for the help!

that's the one i originally got with the clutch but i made some calls to the australian "os giken" distributors JUST to be sure, who told me to get a 20mm carrier!

i have the bearing(isnt in the picture) i took the clutch to the clutch shop to get looked over and made sure it was still in good order and to get the correct bearing for it.

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
