Getrag 6 Speed Quater Mile Times?

Hey Guys,

Just wondering what sort of ET's are achivable with a Getrag 6 speed. Standard equipment in my R34 GTR, running the 3.5 ish diff ratio.

I ran 11.2 @ 129 at WB, then backed it up with a 130mph pass

Be curious to find out what other people have done. in the 34's, moded into earlier models, different diff ratios etc

The difference between you and me is you can drive. I could never co-ordinate hand brake launches.

I did have problems with it jumping out of first gear as a result of the gear stick jumping around, but that was solved with a warrenty job on the clutch and more power.

You have the MPH to get in the 10's!!! What was your 60 foot time? Mine was a 1.8, I think best I've ever got with the 34 and 32 was a 1.7 on road tyres.

Mine was shaking the stick a lot too! I'm bad

I need to slip the clutch a little more (hate doing it) and find the sweet spot for revs, too low she bogs, to high as you saw, and it wheel spins first gear!!

Practice make perfect

I had all new engine, and clutch setup so it was re learn on the go haha!

I'm after a 10.5-10.9, I'll be happy with that! especially with how much I've emptied the wallet

The 11.2 was a 1.7 sixty foot, went 11.3 @ 124mph with a previous engine combo at a different track and that was also a 1.7 60".

feels like 1st gear is a bit short to make it to 60" as the 1.7's are few a far between, but drops the times in the deep. Just needed to string the 1.7 sixty with the 130mph and i might have gone close to a high 10.
