Hi all,

Recently fitted Whiteline subframe bushes to my R32 GTR and have just about finished refitting the subframe when I realised I didn't even think about the stock top collars ( the 9mm tall piece in this picture; http://img848.imageshack.us/img848/7771/img1887a.jpg ) Should these have been re-used with my Whiteline subframe bushes and if so what are they actually for?

Thanks,

Alex

Definitely a stock part (obviously the collar not the solid subframe bush) they came off the tops of the 4 stock subframe bushes... some pics of them here;

Believe they're also called Top Cups.

Hoping they're not actually required as already got the subframe back on the car (and don't even know if they'll go over the whiteline bushes) but thought i'd check to make sure.

Cheers,
Alex

See, I ignored the measurements on the photo, because the ring is clearly more like 9mm and the plate at the top more like 14mm.

Yes, you need them.

Fair point - shamelessly pinched from here when was looking for the answer to the q.

Thanks for the reply, did think it would probably be best to offer them up and see if they would fit... any idea what they actually do? I'm guessing something like catch the subframe if it were to slide off the bush or similar?
